After listening to the song, it was 1:47. We all went downstairs and One Direction had to leave. After they left, I went up to my room to text Emma. But before I could text her, I saw a note. I was confused. Um, who would send me a note in my room? I then did the only thing anyone else would do. I read the note. Duh! It said:

"Look out your window in the yard."

It didn't say any 'dear Nicole' or 'from' or 'sincerely' or even 'love' this person. I decided to do what they said. I went over to my window and looked down into the yard. I couldn't see the full yard because of the glass in my way so I opened the window to put my head through and see everywhere. There beside the garden I saw a box. What the heck? I tried to get out of the window but when I did, I scratched my arm badly. So badly it was bleeding. "Ouch!" I exclaimed. I didn't yell too loudly because I didn't want Calum, Luke, or Ash to hear me. I ignored the cut even though it was bleeding and I ran outside with no one noticing. I went to the backyard and saw the box. I looked around to see if it was any trap or prank. Nobody was around but me. I walked over to the box, kneeled down, and opened it. There I saw a GORGEOUS SMALL PUPPY! But it looked nothing like Cocoa. It looked... Oh, my gosh. I can't say it. Wow. I-It looked... cuter. And more beautiful and smarter. I couldn't believe my eyes. It had a pink bow and a pink collar on a pink fur blanket. (Picture on first page). I picked it up and it was so light. I felt so... royal and sophisticated. It was probably because of how beautiful the puppy was. I wonder if the person gave it to me. Like, for me to keep. If someone gave me this puppy, they must be REALLY generous. But I can't keep the puppy. Not after Cocoa. What if this one leaves too? Ohh, but its so cute. I need it. What am I going to tell Calum, Luke, and Ashton? Wait. I don't think there'd be any harm in not telling them anything. I mean, its fine. I put the puppy back in the box and brought the box inside quietly. I heard someone coming downstairs. I wouldn't be able to make it to my room fast enough. I put the box in the closet and stood there. Luke came down. "Hey, Nicole? Were you just outside?" He asked. "Uh, yep! Just checking the weather," I replied. He looked at me weirdly and said, "Oookaaaay," before making his way to the kitchen. When I knew he was out of sight, I grabbed the box from the closet and quickly brought it up to my room. I closed the door and set the box on the ground. There I saw the puppy again. She never barked. Thats could be a good thing. I wonder if she's trained. I picked her out of the box and set her on the floor. "Roll over," I said. I didn't expect her to understand but for some reason, she did! She rolled over like I said. Who did this? AHHHH! I love this puppy. But every time I looked at her, memories of Cocoa came back to me. I suddenly became depressed. All of a sudden, Calum knocked on my door. "Nicole, are you in there?" He said. I knew he was going to come in. I quickly put the puppy back in the box and closed it but I didn't have enough time to put it away. Calum came in and looked at me on the ground beside an unfamiliar box. "What are you doing, Nicole?" He asked as he saw me with my bum on the ground and my knees up. "I'm, uhh... exercising!" I lied. I then started doing sit-ups. "Just trying to get fit," I said. Calum smiled and said, "Well, okay," and he chuckled. "Hey, where'd you get that box?" He asked.

Nicole: Uh, it's always been in my room.

Calum: Is there anything in it? *Comes closer*

Nicole: Uh, nope. Nothing. Just an empty box.

Calum: Oh, come on. There's gotta be something it. I see pink.

Nicole: Uhh, no.

Calum: Then whats the pink stuff?

Nicole: Um, just... *pulls pink bow off puppy's head* This.

Calum: Why would you have a pink bow in there?

Nicole: I'm not sure. Uh, what did you come in here to tell me?

Calum: Well I just heard noises and rustling and I normally never hear that coming from your room because you're always on your bed texting. But now I know you were just exercising - Whoa, Nicole! What the heck is that?

Nicole: *sighs* Okay, I know what you're thinking. But you just need to know one thing, Calum.

Calum: I don't need to know anything except how you got scratched that badly. Tell me when I get back.

Nicole: Huh?

Calum: That scratch! On your arm. It looks horrendous. Just wait here.

Calum left to go get me a bandage. Oh, thank goodness he wasn't talking about the puppy! I got scared for a second. I quickly put the box beside my dresser and just left it there before Calum came back with a first aid kit. "How did you hurt yourself, Nicole?" Calum asked me as he approached me with a roll of bandages and some first aid scissors. I replied honestly. "I opened my window and looked out to see something and when I came back in, I scratched my arm against the window," I said. Calum said, "Nicole, you've gotta be more careful than that. There. Now you be careful with that arm. You got hurt pretty badly. No more looking out your window." Then Calum went over to the window and closed it. Calum left my room. I opened the box again and pulled the puppy out. But for some reason, she started panicking. I knew it was a 'she' because I don't think someone would put pink bows on a male dog. I was getting scared and worried. Whats wrong with her? I hope she doesn't bite. I let go of her out of fear of getting injured and the puppy started growling at me. Maybe I shouldn't keep her. She seems dangerous! She put her paw up and just as I thought she was going to scratch me, I felt her knock the bow out of my hand. Then I saw her beside me trying to put the bow on. Ohhhhhh. She just wanted her bow back. Maybe she has some sort of attachment to it. Well thats ok. Maybe I can keep her after all. I grabbed the bow and put it on her head calmly and she calmed down. She walked back to me and sat in my lap. Maybe I should give her a name. But what name? The first name that was brought to mind was 'Cocoa' but I thought, no way. All of a sudden, the perfect name popped in my head. Charlotte. "I'm going to name you Charlotte," I said, smiling. She seemed to have liked it.
