Matt's POV

Imaginary fireworks just started bursting out between me and Nicole. I heard the lady say to Nicole, "And voíla. Table for two." She then walked away. Nicole's face was red. I needed to say something.

Nicole's POV

I didn't know what to say. He had such a good poker face I couldn't tell if he was mad or sad or happy. Finally, Matt said, "So, um, how are you?"
I had to respond. So I said, "I-I'm fine... Listen, Matt. I'm sorry for not believing you and I know you were telling the truth and everything and I guess I just -- " I was interrupted by Matt smashing his lips against mine. I guess this means he forgives me! WOOHOO! He finally pulled back and smiled. I couldn't help but blush like a tomato. Everybody around was watching and they just started clapping and cheering. I smiled. Matt said, "So are we good?" I nodded speechless. He laughed and he said, "Please, take a seat." Then I realized what was going on. This was all a set-up! They all left so that I could have a moment with Matthew! Oh, my god. That's... that's... that's the nicest thing they could ever do for me! But where did they go? Oh, forget that! I'm on a date with Matt! I sat down and we talked until the waitress came and asked what we wanted to eat. Matt whispered to me what I would like to eat and I remembered seeing pasta on the menu so I just said pasta. He then said to the waitress, "Two plates of pasta please and some coke too." The waitress nodded and left. We started to talk.

Nicole: Wait, so all of this was just a set up?

Matt: Yep. The guys wanted for us to be together again.

Nicole: That's awesome. And again, I apologize for being so harsh with y --

Matt: Hey, it's okay. The past is in the past. What really matters is that we're together right now and we're good.

Nicole: Yep! Hey, wait a minute. How are we gonna pay for all this?

Matt: What do you think the wallets are for?

Nicole: 😏 I knew it.

Me and Matt talked and talked about useless things and we made each other laugh as well. Matt was in the middle of telling me something until somebody came up to our table and said, "Nicole?" I didn't even bother to look at who it was because I could recognize that voice anywhere. As I heard it, I just stared in front of me with wide eyes. I let out an angry huff like a bull. "What are you doing here?" She asked. I could see from the corner or my eye that he looked very formal like she was on a date too. Matt asked, "Um, Nicole? Who's this?" No. This date is NOT gonna be ruined by ANYBODY. Not even Hannah. I responded simply with wide eyes, "I don't know this person." Hannah chuckled and turned to Matt. She said, "Hi! You must be Matthew! Nicole's told me so much about you!" WAIT, WHAT?!?! Hannah held her hand out for Matthew to shake and he did. Matt smiled and said, "Oh, you must be one of Nicole's friends. What's your name?"

Hannah: Hannah.

Matt: Huh. Weird. She never talks about you.

I tried my best not to laugh. What Matt said did come off a bit rude and I was happy he said that to her.

Hannah: Oh, Nicole? You haven't said anything about your BESTEST FRIEND in the world to your boyfriend? I thought you were a better friend than that.

Nicole: Matt, I swear I am not friends with that thing.

Hannah: (laughs) Oh, Nicole! You are hilarious! Oh, you know us, Matt. Best friends are always kidding around like this, right, Nicole?

Nicole: Sure, but they aren't here to do that with me right now, are they?

Hannah: I am so sorry to interfere with your date, guys.

Matt: Not as sorry as I am.

I widened my eyes at Matt in shock. Okay, now I knew Matt was trying to be rude to her. But I didn't have one problem with it! LOL. Hannah said, "You know what? Um, I'm gonna leave for now but I'll come back and see you guys, alright?" Then she walked away. I looked at Matt and said, "Matt, why were you -- " He interrupted me and said, "What, you think I didn't know about Hannah? I go to the same school as her, Nicole. I knew she bullied you and I'm not gonna show any respect to someone who's done that to my girlfriend." I smiled.

But it just surprises me that you guys would actually read 200 chapters of this terrible book. I mean, I would understand if you stopped reading at chapter 5. But I can't believe almost 40 000 of you kept reading. But don't stop now! There's still many chapters to go but forgive me if I haven't updated in so long.
