It was 1:51 and Charlotte was nodding off. I stood up, took 2 pillows from my bed, put it on the ground, and placed her on them. Just then, she fell asleep. I then walked out of my room closing the door on my way out. I walked downstairs to the living room and realized, wait. How am I going to take care of Charlotte if I don't have the proper things to take care of her? Like food. I need dog food. I can't drive to the store and get dog food. I'd need the guys to drive me but they wouldn't get me dog food because they don't know that I have Charlotte hungry in my room. Maybe I do need to tell them. I guess I have to in order to feed and take proper care of Charlotte. Oh, no. I really don't want to but I have no choice. I guess I should tell Calum first, him being my brother. When I got to the living room, I saw Calum on the couch on his phone. "Um, Calum?" I said. He replied, "Yeah, Nicole?" without taking his eyes off his phone. "There's something I have to tell you." Calum, still not taking his eyes off his screen said, "Okay, what is it?" I sighed and just then, he took his eyes off. "Nicole?"

Nicole: Calum, I found a note in my room and... uhh... well I'm just going to get right to the point. Somebody gave us a puppy.

Calum: What? What are you talking about?

Nicole: Come with me.

I gestured for Calum to come upstairs with me and he did. When we got to my room, I opened my door and Calum saw Charlotte laying on the two pillows on the ground. "Oh, my goodness," Calum said shocked. He went over to the puppy and slowly petted her. I saw her eyes open. I guess he woke her up really soon. She whimpered, got up and hid under the bed. "She's just scared. She doesn't know you." Charlotte then slowly came out from under the bed and went to me. "I, um, I just found her in a box in our yard," I said.

Calum: Well, Nicole. You're not, you know... actually thinking of... keeping her... are you?

Nicole: Well...

Calum: Nicole, I --

Nicole: Come on, Calum. Please. She's harmless.

Calum: But she's probably somebody else's. I mean, who would give a perfectly good puppy to us?

Nicole: I don't know. Thats the same thing I wondered. But instead of thinking about who did it, just know that if someone figures out we have it, we can't really be blamed for anything. I mean, she has no collar with a name.

Calum: True, but you remember Coc --

Nicole: Yes, Calum, I remember Cocoa. But Charlotte is better.

Calum: Nicole, I think you've gone too far. And Charlotte? I thought you said she didn't have a collar with a name.

Nicole: She didn't. I named her that.

Calum: Nicole, I think you should be careful. Don't get too attached to her because if something happens to her --

Nicole: Calum...

Calum: I don't mean like that, Nicole. I mean, what if her owner comes? Or what if there's something wrong with her that would make you not want her anymore?

Nicole: No matter what happens to her, Calum, I will still want her.

Calum: Nicole, you've had her for 20 minutes and you are in love with her.

Nicole: Well sorry, Calum. I can't help it.

Calum: Nicole, I just don't want you to go through any pain if something happens.

Nicole: Calum, that's life. You can't stop it from happening. Just please, Calum. Please let me have her.

Calum: *Sighs* Okay, I've made my decision.

Nicole: So can she stay, or does she have to leave? Please say she can stay. If she can't stay, I swear, Calum, I will never EVER forgive you.

Calum: Now don't say that, Nicole. You know that's not true.

Nicole: Try me.

Calum: Well I've already decided and my decision stays. *Sighs* Nicole, the puppy will...
