Vasia (vah-sia): snowflake

It had been two weeks since Cyris and I had kissed at the center of his hurricane, and honestly the event brought us closer. I could feel my trust in him return, and being around him made my heart full; he made me so happy. I found myself thinking about him more than I thought about myself, and tonight wasn't any different. As I walked to my apartment with bags of groceries, I could feel my cheeks hurting from the permanent smile on my face.

I unlocked the door of the apartment and entered to find soft music playing and spotted Cyris standing at the stove, making dinner.

"Hey," I greeted him.

"Vasia! You're back," he greeted me.

I walked over to him and kissed his cheek. "What are you making? It smells delicious."

"I decided to be fancy, and I made steak, potatoes, and salad on the side."

"Sounds great. Want some help?"

"Nope! You just get comfortable, and relax," Cyris replied.

I sat down at the table and watched him work. And as I did, I couldn't help but think about how much he'd done over the past two weeks to show me that I could trust him. He'd let his guard down with me. He'd let me in further. He didn't touch me unless I was okay with it. And it made me realize that I was okay with what Cyris had done. I understood it in a way. He'd lied because he wanted to get his home back and protect his people. Physically hurting me with his magic had been an accident. And hurting my heart was something he regretted deeply. And with all that in mind I finally said the words I needed to say.

"I forgive you," I told him.

Cyris turned off the stove, and turned around to face me with wide eyes.

"W-What did you say?" he asked in disbelief.

"I forgive you," I repeated. "For everything that happened."

I had forgiven him. He'd done everything he could to make it up to me and I'd accepted what had happened. We were closer than ever. In fact I think we trusted each other more than we used to.

"Rosanna..." but he couldn't finish. Cyris came to me, and crouched down so that our gazes met.

"I'm just sorry that it's taken me so long to say it," I told him softly.

"We talked about this," he smiled. "Stop apologizing for things when there's no need to be sorry."

I blushed. "Old habits die hard I guess."

He brushed some hair from my face and looked at me as if I was the first, and only woman he'd ever seen.

"My dearest Vasia, you have my heart—it's been yours for a while now...I've just been too afraid to admit it. I've spent far too long trying not to get attached to anyone and it's made it difficult for me to let go and love. But I love you and I promise that I'll love you as you deserve to be, now and always."

My breath caught in my throat as he said those words, but eventually I found my voice.

"Cyris..." I trailed off. Then I pressed my lips to his softly.

He rested one of his hands on the side of my neck and embraced the kiss. I pulled away as my stomach growled. Cyris and I both looked down at my stomach, then looked back at each other.

"Guess that means we should eat," he chuckled.

Cyris served dinner and we ate in comfortable silence. Once we both finished, I helped Cyris with the dishes and the two of us got into our pyjamas and snuggled up on the couch to watch a movie. Being so close to him made me want to be even closer, and my mind began to wander. I was ready for us to go further than just kissing. I sat up suddenly and glanced at Cyris with lustful eyes.

"What? What is it?" he asked.

"Cyris...I..." I bit my lip. I couldn't seem to get words out, just gazing at him made me flustered. I decided actions would be the best plan.

I got up and went to my bedroom, but I lingered in the doorway. I peeked over my shoulder at Cyris, and after a moment, he realized what I was trying to say...what I wanted from him. He walked over to me, and I turned around to face him. I pulled him into my bedroom, and shut the door before pushing him onto my bed gently.

I took off Cyris' shirt, and straddled his hips as he laid on his back. His torso was bare and I began trailing kisses along his body. A soft sigh escaped his lips.

"Vasia," he whispered. "What are you doing?"

"I want to worship your body, Cyris," I admitted as I bit my lip. "You always make it about me, but for once I want it to be about you." His body stiffened beneath me in surprise. He looked at me with disbelief. Was it really so hard to believe that I wanted to do this? "Cyris, will you let me do this?" I asked. "Will you let me love you as you deserve to be?"

"Yes," he whispered. And that was all I needed to hear...

I lowered my head back down to his chest and went back to planting kisses there. Taking charge like this felt a little strange, but it gave me a sense of confidence that I enjoyed. And yet, as much as I wanted to please Cyris, I was nervous too. I wanted him to feel just as good as he made me feel when we made love. I admit I wasn't very experienced, but I did what I thought would make him feel the most pleasure. I let him feel the sheer amount of love I had for him. I'd spend all night doing this. He deserved to feel loved.
