Rosanna and I had spent the majority of last night pleasing each other. The sun was rising by the time we were both too tired to continue, which meant we barely got any sleep. I was startled awake by a knock on the laboratory door. I was still half-asleep, and didn't recognize where we were at first. The knocking continued, causing Rosanna to stir.

"Mmm...Cyris...what's going on?" she asked in a sleep filled voice.

"Someone's at the door, I'll get it," I told her, and kissed her nose.

I got up and slipped on my pants, leaving them unbuttoned, and my underwear on the floor. I went to the door, and opened it. Arissa's beaming smile was in the doorway, and she came in without asking, walking right past me.

"Come in, Arissa," I said sarcastically as I shut the door.

"Hang on!" Arissa exclaimed.

I turned around to see what the issue was. Rosanna had slipped on her bra and underwear while my back was turned and she was just slipping my shirt over her head when Arissa entered.

"Rose, what was that marking I saw on your chest?" Arissa quizzed.

Rosanna's eyes widened and a blush crept up her face, reddening her cheeks.

"It's...it's the Esporian marriage mark," she said softly as her eyes sparkled.

Arissa spun around to face me, finally noticing my presence, and leered at my marking.

Rosanna got up and moved over to the workbench, turning off the burner and checking the cauldron.

"You really exchanged the markings?!" Arissa gasped.

"I...I didn't want to walk into a war without being able to call myself his wife," Rosanna admitted as she bit her lip.

Arissa walked right over to Rosanna and frowned at her as she put her hands on her hips.

"You didn't think your brother and I would want to witness?" Arissa asked.

"It was a spur of the moment thing," Rosanna admitted. "And things...got heated rather quickly..." She blushed deeply. "I...I didn't mean to leave you and Kian out of it."

"Out of what?" Kian voiced as he came into the laboratory.

Hearing his voice made me tense... What would he say to what Rosanna and I did last night?

My beloved wife bit her lip nervously. She and I exchanged glances, while Arissa stared at Rosanna, expecting her to tell Kian.

"Are you going to tell him? Or should I?" Arissa questioned.

"Tell me what? Why are you guys being weird?" Kian raised an eyebrow.

"Kian...I..." Rosanna hesitated and looked at me.

I sighed deeply and sat down on the couch.

"We're married," I stated simply.

"We exchanged vows and marks last night," Rosanna replied as she bit her lip, bracing herself for her brother's reaction.

Arissa was annoyed. She looked at Kian, who still was speechless, and folded her arms across her chest.

"Can you believe they didn't tell us?!" Arissa huffed.
