Chapter 59: Cyris*

I was overwhelmed with joy. Akodic hadn’t failed me after all! He kept his word, giving me back both Rosanna and our unborn child, at the expense of my physical body. And I didn’t care. I didn’t care how much pain this soul tether caused me, it would always be worth it.

I laid Rosanna down on the guest bed, and took my time with her. I started kissing her neck and heard her soft gasps as my lips pressed against her skin. That addicting sandalwood and vanilla scent hit my nose and I let myself drown in it. I was going to drown in her tonight. After nearly losing her, I needed it. I lifted my head from her neck to look into her eyes. How I’d missed those striking green eyes. To think that I wouldn’t have had the chance to gaze upon them again. 

Hearing her breathing increase, and feeling her body tense underneath mine, made my heartbeat go into overdrive. I decided to take things a bit further and went for her weak spot, the hollow of her throat, nipping and sucking on the skin there. 

“Cyris…” she breathed. 

“I love you, Rose…more than anything,” I murmured.

“I love you too, Cyris…I love you so much,” she replied. 

I sat up, took my shirt off, and threw it to the floor. I tugged at the bottom of Rosanna’s t-shirt, and she helped me slide it off of her. I started kissing her bare torso, letting my lips trail across the tops of her breasts and along her stomach. I reached for her bra and slowly slid it off her body, taking my time and letting my fingers trail across her arms. She shivered as my fingertips landed on her skin. 

My hands reached for the waistband of her leggings and I pulled them off before removing my own pants. Then I removed her underwear and my own. I moved to cover her body with my own, but she stopped me. 

“Cyris…wait…” Rosanna said breathlessly. 

“What is it? What’s wrong?” I asked in panic. After everything we’d been through, I was not taking any chances.

She bit her lip nervously. “I’m not…I’m not comfortable laying like this…maybe it’s because of my pregnancy,” she admitted. “Could…could we maybe…try something different?” 

“Whatever makes you feel comfortable, Vasia,” I told her. I wanted her to feel comfortable as I worshipped her body. Nothing else mattered. Her comfort was a priority. But I had to admit, I was really turned on… 

She nodded and turned over so that she was on her hands and knees. I bent over her, and kissed the back of her neck. Then I sprinkled kisses along her shoulders and upper back. She let out soft gasps and my name fell from her lips once more. 

I became addicted to the way her sighs of pleasure, and her body, seemed to crave me, need me. I slid in and heard her gasp in response to the movement. I started my pace slowly, making sure she was okay. After a few moments, her body relaxed a little so I picked up speed. Moans of pleasure and pleas for more escaped her luscious lips as the temperature began dropping rapidly. She glanced back at me and I saw that her eyes had shifted to that gorgeous icy blue. 

I gripped her hips, and moved a little more roughly. I could feel my power swirling inside of me, my eyes changed to deep blue and the veins in my arms began glowing. Rosanna eventually threw her head back and let out a cry of pleasure, letting go and letting herself be consumed. The temperature dropped severely and it began snowing around us. When she opened her eyes again and glanced back at me, I noticed that they were now that fierce silver. 

I let myself go, and got lost in our desire as my eyes turned black. Water surrounded us, and the room was now full of snowflakes and raindrops, engaged in their own dance as Rosanna and I drowned in our passion. I let out my own moans of pleasure as I continued to make love to her, my fiancée…and the mother of my child. I reached around her and caressed her breasts gently.

A few moments passed, then I wrapped one of my arms around her waist, and pulled her back so that she was on my lap. She let out a gasp at the motion. I went after her weak spot again, gently nipping and sucking on her flesh; I loved the feeling of my lips on her body. She let out a soft moan and rose up off me before turning around to face me and sinking back down on me.

She kissed my lips hungrily, needing me close. I groaned at her actions, and kissed her back just as zealously. We were high off of each other’s bliss, completely lost in euphoria. Rosanna scratched down my back, and I moaned loudly. Soon the two of us came apart together and I gently sank my teeth into her shoulder, muffling my sounds of pleasure. She threw her head back and cried out, and as she did, I felt her nails dig into my shoulder blades.

We laid down together, still breathing hard, trying to come down from the blissful high we’d both experienced. 

“Babe…tomorrow is your birthday,” I stated quietly.

“Is it April fifteenth already?” she asked. “I guess with everything going on, I hadn’t noticed. Well I’ll be twenty one tomorrow that means.” 

“I wish we could have a party or something.”

“I don’t need a party,” she assured me as she curled up to my body and closed her eyes. ”As long as you, Kian, Arissa, Farryn, and Polaris are there…that’s enough for me.”

I placed an arm above her head, then gently kissed her forehead and rested my other hand on her stomach. I was grateful that she was okay, that they both were.

“I can’t wait to marry you, Vasia,” I breathed as I closed my eyes.

As I dozed off, I thought about all of the events that happened over the past few days, especially my choice to seek out Akodic. But being next to Rosanna, and knowing that I secured my family’s future, was all that mattered to me; I would never regret my decision.
