To say I was shocked would be an understatement. Standing in front of me was Circe Castellan...the twin sister I thought I'd lost... The sibling I'd mourned for years. I didn't know how to feel, was I supposed to be relieved? Was I supposed to be angry?
"Circe... What... How... What happened...?" I asked, not being able to form full sentences for a few moments.
"Come now, dear brother, I hope your English is better than that. Spit it out."
"Circe, what happened?!" I asked, finally finding my voice. "What happened to you? I... I thought you were dead. We all did."
"Don't call me that! My name is Zelene..."
Zelene... as in... Zelene Slayer? Circe was the Leader of the Trillium Regime? She was ruling over Espor...?! She was responsible for terrorizing Riofalt...! And she was the one that had been hunting me down! But why?! What had happened to the sister I knew and loved...?
"What happened to you?" I asked, still trying to process.
"What happened to me?! I'm the Queen of Espor because of what happened to me. I rule over two countries because of what happened to me. But you, you're just the final thorn in my side," she growled.
"The night the Trillium attacked Blackwater, you—you vanished..." I recalled. "Where were you?"
"Enough talk, brother," Circe stated. Caja rose from the earth, ready for attack, and Tamara took a fighting stance as well.
I was somewhat torn, could I really fight my own sister like this? I knew I probably had no choice, and that cut me to the core. She was my twin. She and I had shared everything since before we were born. We shared our mother's womb! How could she throw all of that away?!
"Leave Cyris and the ice witch to me," she smiled wickedly. Tamara nodded and drew a few daggers from her belt and twirled them around.
That made my blood boil. She was after Rosanna too, and despite my fears of fighting my sister, I couldn't let her harm Rosanna.
Caja flicked her tongue at us, and stomped her foot on the ground. The earth shook a little, causing us to stumble, and Circe used the distraction to go straight for Rosanna. But I wasn't going to allow that to happen. I let my powers spike, and held my hands out, palms facing up, as if I was worshiping the sky.
I formed two big orbs of water in my palms, solid enough to damage a tree trunk, and took a fighting stance. As the orbs started to spin very fast, I thrusted my arms out in front of me, like I was pushing something, and the orbs launched at Circe. I wanted to break her stride, and I missed once, however, the second one caught her leg, and she let out a cry of pain.
Circe stumbled, but got to her feet as Rosanna's body, and eyes began glowing that brilliant icy blue. She shot a stream of ice at Circe and managed to freeze her legs. Rosanna and I approached Circe, the two of us could overpower her now that she was stuck in place, but Rosanna's ice began to crack.
The diamond colored ice became ash in an instant, and the three of us ended up in a three way fighting match. Rosanna and I moved in sync, trying to knock Circe down. I had to admit, my sister was strong! Just when we thought we had the upper hand, Circe went after Rosanna again, sending her flying into a tree.
