I let Rosanna sleep in and I got up early to make breakfast. I was looking at the map and finishing the rest of my food when I heard her unzip the tent.

"Morning, my love," she said as she approached me.

"Morning, babe."

I saw her grab a box from her bag and take something out of it before putting the box away. She put the item in her mouth and I wondered what she was eating. "What's that?" I asked curiously.

"Ginger," she replied.

"For nausea..." I stated.

She bit her lip.

"Rose, did you lie to me about what the doctor said?" I panicked. My heart dropped at the idea that she did lie to me.

"I didn't lie to you," she assured me.

I folded up the map, put it back in my coat pocket, and gave her my full attention.

"The dizziness...the nausea...the headaches... I'm not sick, but those are all pretty normal according to the doctor," she continued.

"Normal for who?" I countered.

"If you must know! At the time it was because, apparently, I was having a bad period. This morning it's because I realized we didn't eat last night." she put her hands on her hips and huffed.

I opened my mouth to say something, but I decided against it. I glared at her as I took the map back out, and opened it up again. But I was relieved. She sighed and came closer to me, seating herself on my lap before we both looked at the map in front of us.

"Sorry for snapping at you," she told me.

"Don't be, I just worry about you, Vasia...maybe too much?"

"I appreciate your concern, Cyris," she assured me. "And I understand it. But let's not fight about it."

"Alright, no more fighting," I kissed the side of her neck.

She sighed in contentment and looked at the map. "So based on the route Polaris marked for us, the next stop is Glacier Point I guess," she stated.

"Yup, we have to make it to Glacier Point in three days if we want to stay on track."

"Then I guess we'd better get moving," she declared.

I nodded and we packed up camp together. We started walking West and continued in that direction for a couple hours. We happened to come across a log and decided to take a break. Rosanna was drinking some water while I was looking over the map again, and that's when something, or rather, someone caught my eye. It was moving very fast, but I did see it, we were being watched.

"Rosanna," I voiced.

She wasn't looking at me, she was looking at the woods.

"Come out and show yourself if you have the guts!" she called out as her eyes became that glorious icy blue inferno.

I covered her mouth and held her close to me, "Shush! What are you doing? We don't know what's—" I was hit by something short, and my thigh stung with pain. "Shit! Rose, run!" I ordered.

But my Vasia wasn't one to take orders. Her eyes flashed silver and she shot a barrage of icicles into the forest around us. I was sure she hit something, but two figures emerged from behind a couple of trees, one was holding an icicle. They were wearing black cloaks and their hoods were up. Trillium warlocks.
