I watched Cyris leave with his head hung low. He really did care about this whole "blessing" thing... But I also had my own beliefs, and I couldn't give in, especially not if giving my blessing was an obstacle for their marriage. Then, I felt selfish, and it pissed me off. I got up and started throwing books around, trying to calm my emotions, but it just made me feel worse. Now, I had made a mess and had to clean it up. I laid down instead, and stared at the huge, high ceiling above me.

What did Rosanna see in him?

Was she really going to be happy with him in Espor?

How could she make such a big decision after such a short amount of time?

These questions swam around in my head until it hurt, and I closed my eyes. I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I remembered was Arissa shaking me.

"It's almost time to go, Kian," she told me as I woke up. I noticed that she was dressed for a night out. Had I really slept the entire day?

"Babe... Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" I croaked. My throat was dry. I sat up and looked around, reminded that I still had a giant mess to get rid of.

"You looked like you needed the sleep," Arissa admitted as she handed me a glass of water. "Now come on. Get changed. We have to go."

I chugged the water, and my stomach growled, but I ignored it.

"Do I at least have time to shower?" I groaned. I handed the empty glass back to her.

"You have maybe twenty minutes before we need to leave," she told me.

"Good enough, I guess." I stood up and ruffled my hair. I would just have to brush my teeth in the shower then.

I went to my room and got ready. And surprisingly, I managed to get ready within twenty minutes. After getting dressed, I tossed on my leather jacket and went out to join the others.

Felix, Cyris, and Arissa were waiting by the doors, but Rosanna wasn't there yet

Felix, Cyris, and Arissa were waiting by the doors, but Rosanna wasn't there yet. I was able to look over Arissa fully now, and my knees got weak at the sight of her. She had on this red dress that fit her form very well, clinging to her curves, and a pair of black thigh high boots. I was more than tempted to change my mind and stay at the castle with her. We'd be alone and I could make her mine...it had been a while.

"Ari... You look amazing," I bit my lip.

"Thank you," she replied. "You don't look so bad yourself."

Rosanna came downstairs and I noticed that she'd chosen to wear a pair of leggings and a tight crop top with high heeled combat boots. I caught Cyris checking out my sister and cleared my throat.
