The man that followed us to the safehouse from the Festival...was Rosanna's brother Kian...?! My head was spinning from the news, but seeing their reunion brought joy to my heart. Rosanna sobbed in her brother's arms as he kissed her forehead and cried with her.

"How?" he asked her. "How are you here?"

"Mirella...she told Mom to run and then Mom left me on the doorstep of a couple's house," Rosanna explained. "Gods...Kian...I've been seeing visions of you all for months wondering what it all meant! What happened to you?"

"Mirella...just after Mom carried you off...our sister made me run too...so I did, and the last thing I saw was the Trillium Regime slicing her throat open as she screamed," Kian replied with sorrow in his eyes. "I wish I could have saved her...I should have..."

I felt the pain, the anguish, and the guilt Kian had felt. I felt the same way about my own family. Rosanna looked heartbroken as Kian filled in the missing pieces to her past.

"Mirella sacrificed herself for us both..." Rosanna breathed shakily.

"She was...being our big sister... the best big sister anyone could ever ask for," Kian murmured.

A few more tears fell from Rosanna's eyes.

"Where have you been?" Rosanna asked him. "Kian...why didn't you come for me?"

They finally pulled away from each other and Kian brushed his fingers against Rosanna's cheek.

"I'm so sorry! I should have searched for you but...after I saw the destruction the Trillium caused, I... There was just no way you or Mom survived," he replied. "I can't change what happened, little sister, but I can spend the rest of my life making up for it. And I promise I will." Kian pulled Rosanna into another hug and kissed her cheek.

"Your Highnesses!" a voice shouted frantically as Felix came running out of the safe house. He slowed to a stop when he saw the scene in front of him. "What's going on?"

"Felix, meet Kian Aster," I stated.

Felix's eyes widened and he bowed immediately. "My Prince," he greeted Kian. "Forgive me...I thought...I thought you were..."

"Felix? Like...our father's old advisor Felix?" Kian questioned.

"The very same," Rosanna replied. "Come inside, brother...I think we all need to sit down."

"Yes! Please, Your Highness, come inside," Felix urged.

"I'm sorry, it's late, I have to go home. Someone is waiting for me," Kian smiled. "But, I want you to come to my house tomorrow for dinner..." Kian looked at Felix and then fixed his sight on me. "All of you are welcome."

The way he looked at me made me feel like I was a kid getting in trouble, but I shook the feeling off quickly. I couldn't let him intimidate me!

"We'll see you then," I told him. Rosanna nodded in agreement and wrapped her arms around her brother, embracing him one last time before letting him go and watching as he vanished into the darkness of the night.

Felix, Rosanna, and I went back into the safehouse and Felix offered to make us all tea.

"What a night," I said as I sat down on the couch.
