Ifound myself standing on a beach under the light of the moon. The stars glittered in the sky, welcoming me to this peaceful place. The ocean waves crashed against the shore and I breathed in the salty sea air. This was paradise.
Then I felt a set of strong arms wrap around me and his gorgeous dulcet voice whispered in my ear.
"Vasia."
Cyris held me close and eventually started kissing my neck. I felt myself getting lost in his arms, wanting more of him. He made me feel safe and brought me peace. He made me smile and I just wanted to stay here with him in our own personal paradise. It just... it felt so right. I turned around to face him and looped my arms around his waist. I opened my eyes, blinking away the sleep, and was face to face with a beaming Polaris.
"Morning sunshine," he greeted me.

"What?!" I gasped. "What makes you think that?"
"Rose, do you honestly believe I couldn't tell how much you've changed in just a couple weeks?"
I blushed. I had gotten stronger and come out of my shell more over the past two weeks. It wasn't much, but I guess it was enough that Polaris had noticed.
"Polaris..." I trailed off, unsure of how to explain myself.
I felt something for Cyris and the sheer amount of emotion I'd felt during our dance last night had consumed me. For the first time in my life, I felt at peace. I felt safe in his arms. I'd let my guard down with him last night. I'd let him hold me and I was surprised that I hadn't frozen him solid given my history. But just because I felt something for him, didn't suddenly mean that I was okay with my powers and the trouble they could cause. Don't get me wrong, my heart wanted Cyris, felt something for him, and wanted to explore those feelings, but my mind... my mind was terrified of letting him get too close. If he got too close and I accidentally froze him, I'd never forgive myself. Polaris kissed the top of my head
