Cyris and I entered the ballroom later that day wearing our party attire. I wore a silver dress that shimmered in the light, and Cyris wore white dress pants with this dark blue long sleeve tunic. The tunic had a silver clasp at the neck and silver buttons down the front. The music got soft and slow and Cyris held out his hand for me. I took it and he escorted me to the dance floor. He wrapped an arm around my waist as he held my hand. My free hand rested on his shoulder as we whirled around the floor.
It was still so unbelievable! I was officially his wife now. I was Rosanna Castellan. That sounded so surreal. Rosanna Castellan. But I liked the sound of it. It meant that I was bound to Cyris now. Cyris spun me around and placed a sweet soft kiss on my lips. He pulled away and rested his forehead against mine.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I love you too, Vasia," he said softly.
We concluded our dance and everyone applauded. Kian tapped his wine glass and got everyone's attention.
"I'd like to make a toast to the best little sister in the world. May you always be happy and may Cyris always make you so," Kian told me. Everyone raised their glasses and toasted to my happiness with Cyris.
Cyris and I sat down on a couple of chairs and a couple approached us. The man had dark hair and fiery amber eyes, while the woman had chestnut coloured hair with striking light brown eyes. I could tell they were magic users. I couldn't help but notice the tribal tattoo on the woman's left arm. They both looked to be only a few years older than me and Cyris.
"Your Majesties," they greeted us. Then the man spoke alone, "I am Darius Azar and this is my wife Calida. We come from the Bayle Tribe in the west. Congratulations on your marriage."
"Thank you both," Cyris bowed his head. "I've heard of the Bayle Tribe before... You're skilled in fire magic, right?"
"We are," Calida replied. She turned to me. "I see you're carrying. I have two children of my own, two sons. Ayden and Gabriel."
"How old are they?" I asked.
"Ayden is three and Gabriel is only a year old. We had to leave them with my sister, but we're honoured to be here in Blackwater."
"We're honored to have you both here," Cyris told them, and smiled.
"We'll let you enjoy the evening, but I hope we can discuss trade relations between the Bayle Tribe and the Crown at some point?" Darius asked Cyris.
Cyris glanced at me, and I felt pride knowing he wanted my opinion. I nodded.
"Yes, I look forward to that meeting, Chief Azar," Cyris replied.
Darius and Calida left us and I turned to Cyris.
"They seem really nice," I told him.
"From what I remember, the Bayle Tribe is welcoming and known for their hospitality," Cyris explained. "They've been allies of the Crown for years, but they're also fiercely protective of those they care about. I went with my father to visit their tribe once when I was a child. Their lands are beautiful from what I remember."
"Maybe we'll get to go there someday," I stated.
He smiled. "Maybe," he replied.
Numerous nobles came forward to congratulate us, and some came with attempts at worming their way into power. There were a few proposals and propositions for our unborn child, but Cyris and I refused to entertain those requests. Finally, it got to the point where I was tired of socializing. Thankfully, a chef wheeled in the wedding cake soon after. It was three tiers and covered in white and dark blue frosting.
