A little over three months later, the royal ship docked at the port of Crescent Reef, a gorgeous archipelago that housed Cyris' ancestral home. He wasn't born here, but this is where his family originally came from and the Castellans still had a seat here.

Once the boat was safely docked, Cyris, Ren, Sidra, and I disembarked. The twins rushed down the gangplank and looked around excitedly. I didn't blame them. Crescent Reef was beautiful with its pristine beaches and lush foliage.

"I can't believe this is your ancestral home Cyris! It's incredible. It's like something out of a fairytale!" I exclaimed.

"I haven't been here since my own bonding ceremony...the sight is just as breathtaking," he sighed.

"I can feel the ancient magic running through the air...it's exhilarating." Crescent Reef was home to a large concentration of ancient magic, which was why it was the site of many important magical rituals. Most notably, the familiar bonding ceremony.

"Can we look around a bit?" I asked.

Sidra looked at the time on her phone

"All of the Changeling clans won't arrive until tomorrow," she told us.

"Then let me show you around," Cyris said with a smile.

I grinned, then Cyris and I grabbed the twins and went to explore the islands.

The highlight of our tour had been the massive waterfall that came out of the side of a mountain and flowed into a lake. Cyris had called it the Comet Falls, since at night, when the moonlight fell on the water, it made the waterfall look like a shooting comet.

After we had finished exploring, Cyris took us to the Castellan mansion. The house was lush and lavish and I'd expect nothing less from a Castellan home. But unlike the castle, the mansion seemed to be more airy and open. It was almost like a massive beach house. I turned to the twins as I felt a pair of familiar auras approaching.

"Why don't you two, go explore upstairs with your Uncle Ren and Auntie Sidra?" I asked. Catryn and Marcellus nodded and rushed upstairs with Ren and Sidra following them. I could feel the familiars getting closer and was glad that the twins had left. According to the ceremonial customs, magic users weren't supposed to see familiars prior to the ceremony.

There was a cloud of red smoke and Farryn appeared. But she wasn't alone. There was a man with her. He had dark hair and gleaming golden eyes. He was holding a small boy in his arms. The boy had Farryn's hair colour and the mysterious man's golden eyes. I noticed the boy's small dragon tail and smiled. He was adorable.

"Farryn," Cyris greeted.

"Cyris...it's so good to see you!" Farryn exclaimed as she embraced him.

Cyris hugged her back tightly. Once they pulled away, Cyris' eyes settled on the mysterious man and the changeling child in his arms.
