Vasia (vah-sia): snowflake

Nav raxo (nah-v racks-oh): my love

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I woke up the next day feeling a bit nauseous. Taking care not to wake Cyris, I got out of bed and rushed to the bathroom before emptying the contents of my stomach into the toilet. It must have been something I'd eaten. I quickly brushed my teeth and rinsed my mouth out, not wanting to cause Cyris extra stress. It probably wasn't that big of a deal.

I went out into the main living area and started chopping fruit for breakfast. I was about halfway through slicing the second apple, when my head started pounding and everything started spinning. I set the knife down and rested my hands on the counter, trying to steady myself. A pair of strong arms wrapped around me from behind and I felt his lips on my neck.

"You okay?" Cyris asked.

"I'm fine," I assured him. It was a lie, Cyris really didn't need any more concerns right now.

"Nav raxo, don't lie to me..."

"I didn't want you to worry," I whispered as my head pounded.

"Too late for that," he retorted.

"I...threw up this morning and honestly I have a headache right now and I feel a little dizzy," I admitted.

I sighed deeply and turned around so we were face-to-face. I kept my hands on the counter, trying to stay on my feet. I closed my eyes as another wave of dizziness passed over me. I could feel Cyris' presence close in on me, and then he caressed my cheek.

"Babe, you really don't look good," he stated softly. "Maybe we should call a doctor?"

"I swear I'm fine, love. I probably just didn't sleep well or ate something weird," I told him.

"Well, go lay down. Call out of work."

"Seriously? What if I had Polaris look at my aura, would that make you feel better?"

"Fine, fair enough," he agreed with a nod.

"Polaris," I called out. My beloved familiar appeared in a flurry of snow.

"Yes?" he asked.

"Could you please look at my aura and tell Cyris that there's nothing wrong with me?" I asked.

Polaris gave me a curious look, "Why?"

"Cyris is worried because I got sick this morning," I stated. "Will you please tell him nothing is wrong?"

Polaris shrugged. He looked at my aura, and then he frowned.

"Something is different about your aura, Rose," he stated.

"See Rosanna, I told you," Cyris voiced.

"Alright...alright, I'll go lay down and call in sick to work," I relented.

"Thank you!" Cyris planted a kiss on my lips. He gave me a quick hug and then stood aside so I could go back to bed. He slapped my butt as I walked away, and I glared back at him over my shoulder.
