It had been one week since the baby shower, and Rosanna and I were currently sitting in our room waiting for Dr. Ko. It was the last check-up for our son. We just wanted to make sure everything was alright before Rosanna gave birth.

"The doctor will be here any minute! Can you believe it's the final check up? Our son will be here soon!" I rambled. I was actually swooning at this point. I couldn't wait for our son to be born.

"I'm excited too, love. But carrying our son takes a lot out of me," Rosanna told me and I noticed that she was looking a bit tired. She had been tired a lot over the past few weeks.

"I know, baby, you're almost there! You're such an amazing woman." I kissed her softly on the lips. She smiled and pulled away from the kiss, resting her forehead against mine.

Dr. Ko and Sidra came into the room.

"My King, My Queen," Dr. Ko greeted us as she curtsied. They got right to work, preparing the supplies and hooking Rosanna up to the monitors.

"How are you feeling today, Your Majesty?" Dr. Ko asked. She felt Rosanna's legs, examining them closely.

"I'm a bit tired, but other than that, I feel good," Rosanna replied.

Dr. Ko nodded and after she'd finished setting everything up, Sidra stepped back. Dr. Ko angled the monitor of the ultrasound so that it was facing away from us. She took some gel and rubbed it on Rosanna's belly. Then she took the wand and moved it over my wife's stomach.

I grabbed Rosanna's hand and squeezed it tenderly.

"Has she eaten today?" Dr. Ko asked.

"Yes, of course...why?" I questioned.

"Is something wrong?" Rosanna asked.

Dr. Ko didn't answer. She moved the wand to a spot and pressed down as gently as possible, while still being a little forceful. I felt Rosanna's anxiety rise.

"Is everything okay?" Rosanna inquired, anxiously.

"Dr. Ko?" I pressed.

"Huh... Has the Queen felt extremely lethargic lately?" Dr. Ko questioned.

"I have felt really tired," Rosanna admitted. "I just assumed it was the pregnancy and the fact that I've been carrying out some duties around the palace. Why?"

"She's being modest, she can barely keep her eyes open sometimes," I added.

"I can't believe I missed this for so long..." Dr. Ko muttered.

She moved the wand over Rosanna's belly again, to a different spot, then moved it back to the spot she pressed down on.

"What's going on?" Rosanna asked, anxiously.

"Dr. Ko!" I exclaimed.

She looked at us and noticed our frantic expressions.

"Is something wrong with our son?!" Rosanna choked out.

"What? Oh, no! Nothing is wrong. I'm so sorry! ...In fact, you're doing more than great, My Queen," Dr. Ko replied.

She spun the screen and showed us the image, using the wand to demonstrate placement of our son. But I noticed something else on the screen.

"Your son has been shielding your daughter for months. You're having twins," Dr. Ko told us.

Rosanna gasped.
