4 sisters... Thats more than enough

DEREK POV:

I woke up the next morning to a knock on the door.
" I'll get it." Mer mumbled
" you sure?"
" well you weren't gonna get it."
" you're right."
She laughed. Then I heard silence.
" MER?!" I called but no answer. My stomach dropped and I got up to go downstairs.
" Der?" She called
" yes?"
" did you know about this?"
" about what..... No. No I didn't." Three sisters standing outside my door and the fourth upstairs sleeping.
" are you going to let us in or what?" Nancy asked
" nanc, Kathleen, Liz, what are you doing here?"
" visiting our brother in Seattle since he never comes back home."
" I came back home last year."
" mmhmm. Where is our nieces and nephew?"
" sleeping. Don't wake them up."
" where's the littlest Shepherd?"
" sleeping leave her alone."
" how's Addi?"
" we went over this last time nanc."
" I wanna go over it again."
" I really don't like you."
" you love me."
" so where are you staying?" Mer asked
" here." Nancy said
" oh no you're not. We don't have the time nor the room."
" cmon Derek you're really gonna throw your sisters out on the street?"
" yes."
" hmm."
" listen we are very busy. You didn't call any of us to let us know you were coming so we could make arrangements so do you wanna tell me what's going on or do you want me to call the airport to book you a plane home?"
" moms sick." Liz said
" Elizabeth!" Nancy yelled through her teeth.
" cmon nanc. We didn't tell him we were coming. He knows something is up."
" moms... Sick?" I asked shocked.
" we don't know what it is Derek...." Nanc said but I cut her off.
" where is she?" I asked
" in the hospital." Liz said
" which one?"
" this one. Yours. Seattle Grace Mercy West Memorial Hospital." Kathleen said.
I looked at mer.
" go. Drive your sisters to the hospital.
I'll grab the kids and your sister and I will drive them. I'll meet you there. Go as a visitor not a doctor. I'll call Hunt and let him know you're on his way." Mer said.
" thank you. I love you. I'll see you at the hospital."

MER POV:

They left and I woke up the kids and Amelia.
" what do you mean my moms sick?" She asked almost crying.
" Amelia, look at me. Look at me. Everything is going to be okay. We don't know anything yet but it will be okay."
" how do you know?"
" I don't but let's go find out."
We all got dressed as raced to the hospital. We walked into the ER.
" in there." A nurse said pointing to a trauma room.
" hold up! Seriously? These are people you know even if you didn't you do not speak to them like that. You say Ms. grey, ms. Shepherd your husband and brother and the family are in the trauma room I will bring you to them. And then you tell them what is going on am I clear?" Alex interrupted one of the interns.
" yes sir."
" good. I'm relieving you of your duties here. Go do charts."
" charts? Sir please."
" you think you're too good for charts?"
" respectively yes sir."
" good then charts and get down to the pit."
" but sir...."
" charts and pit that's it."
The intern walked away.
" where is she?" Amelia asked and he pointed to a door.
" not going in?" He asked me.
" not yet. In a few. Giving them time as a family."
" you are part of that family. You are just as worried as they are. She's your mom now Mer. And those are your sisters. They love you just as much as you love them. Get in there."
" the kids..."
" I've got the kids. I'll bring them down to daycare myself I promise."
" thanks alex."
He smiled and took the kids and I went in. I didn't want to see what I saw once I opened those doors.
