"HUNT!" I yelled and he snapped out of it.
" she's in the trauma room. She's going up for surgery in a bit. She's fine Derek. She'll survive this one."
I ran to the door and bursted inside.
" Derek." She mumbled.
" Shhh don't speak. It's okay. You're okay. I love you. You'll be fine."
" derek..." Jackson said.
" okay they're gonna take you up to surgery now. I have to take care of things here. They've got you. Okay? You'll be okay."
They wheeled her away but before they could leave I got their attention.
" JACKSON!" I yelled. He nodded them to go to the OR.
" don't let them kill her."
" I won't."
I ran to the chief.
" where's meredith?" Chief asked
" in the OR."
" good she's safest there. My team is on the move we'll find him I promise."
" you better."
After hours they finally got the guy in custody. Nobody knew what he actually wanted. I was paged when Meredith was out of surgery. She finally woke up.
" hey babe." I said laying down next to her on the bed."
" hey."
" you almost died on me today."
" yeah I did. I'm sorry."
" me too."
We just layed there and eventually we both fell asleep. The next morning I woke up from Jackson nudging me awake.
" Derek. Derek wake up." He said and I woke up.
" what's going on?" I asked
" we have to wake mer up?"
" okay. Where's the kids?"
" umm April put them in the daycare this morning."
" okay thanks."
He woke up mer.
" hey mer." He said
" when can I go home Jackson?"
" soon I promise mer we just have to keep an eye on you for a little."
" okay but I feel a little better already." She said
" that's good but we can't go on your word we have to go on the test results."
She looked disappointed and Jackson walked out.
" I love you." I said kissing her head
" I love you too."
" I want another kid too."
" what?"
" you said the other day that you wanted another kid. And I still believe that another baby won't fix us but when we do fix what is broken then I do want another kid. With you."
" I want another kid too Derek."
" so let's fix what needs to be broken."
