MEREDITH POV:

" I'll see you later?" Derek asked.
" yeah ummm I guess I'll pick up the kids."
" okay I'll check up on them later. I have a surgery I'll see you later. I love you ."
" love you too good luck." We kissed and I headed upstairs.
The door to the elevator opened.
" well someone looks happy this morning! Derek?" Amy asked.
" I don't think you wanna hear about it but yeah your brother."
" yeah I probably don't wanna hear about it. Did you know cristina was leaving?"
" yeah... She told everybody?"
" yeah."
" good for her."
" are you okay?"
" its just gonna be weird just me and Alex left."
" ugh hello...?"
" in our resident class."
" oh okay. I don't take it personally then."
" you shouldn't."
" I won't."
" ok good."
The elevator opened.
" Grey, Shepherd." Owen said walking in.
" chief." Amelia said.
" so how are you holding up?"
" with?"
" I think she's talking about the whole Cristina thing." Amelia pointed out. I looked back at her.
" oh well I mean we aren't married so i don't really get a say do I."
" well you know you can always talk to me."
" thanks Grey."
" I mean I'm here too if you want to talk about how she hurt you."
I turned around to her " what are you doing?!" I mouthed. She just shrugged. The elevator doors opened and Derek walked in.
" Shepherd I thought you had surgery."
" yeah I thought so too." I said
" got cancelled said she's not ready."
" I don't have surgery for a couple of hours." Amy said. Derek and I looked at her and then at each other and I rolled my eyes. The doors opened and Owen left.
" I'll talk to you guys later."
" okay bye." I said
" yeah catch up with you later Owen!" Amelia chirped.
Derek and I turned around.
" alright spill it Amelia what's going on?" Derek asked
" nothing I'm just being nice."
" OH MY GOD!" I chirped
" what?" Derek asked.
" Meredith don't.." Amelia said.
The doors opened and Alex walked in. I whispered what I was gonna say in his ear.
" Little Shepherd has a crush on the chief?!" He smirked.
I giggled.
" Amelia..." Derek said crossing his arms trying hard not to laugh. Mark and Addison walked in when the doors opened with Jackson.
" what's going on?" Mark asked.
" well it seems like my little sister has a crush on someone."
" DEREK!" Amelia blushed.
" awwww who is it!?" Addison chirped
" it's nothing. Nobody."
" oh please Amelia." I said
" the last time I saw you like this was when you were in 4th grade and you had a crush on that boy." Derek said.
" James." Addison added. Mark and Derek looked at her. " what he was a good lookin kid."
" Amelia it's okay to tell us who it is." Mark said.
" everyone has crushes." Jackson added
" well not everyone. Meredith really." Alex smiled.
" mmm jo is me then."
" so who is it?" Addison asked
" it's Owen."
" awwww!" Derek chirped " my baby sister is growing up!"
" Derek stop!" She tried to push him off her. Somebody's pager went off.
" it's mine." Alex said. " Jackson, Mark gonna need you.
" alright let's go." Mark said
Derek's pager went off " are you getting paged for a 9 year old?"
" yeah."
" Me too." I said as I looked at my pager.
" we all are." Amelia added.
" not me." Addison said. Then her pager went off " just kidding.."
We all ran to the ER.
" what's going on?" Derek asked.
Alex and Jackson turned around and made kissing faces to Amelia when Owen ran over.
" STOP IT! SHUT UP AND TURN AROUND!" I yelled through my teeth.
" 9 year old Emily Mais went hunting with her mother when a wolf came out of nowhere."
" a what?" Callie asked coming up from behind us.
" yeah."
" Amy I'm gonna need your help up here." Derek said looking at the head.
" I need Bailey, and Richard here now!"
" Mer, Arizona and I can help too."
" okay help me out with the stomach. I don't know how bad it is but I need quick hands. " they ran to the it's side and grabbed the sheet.
" okay I need everyone to stop what they are doing. Addison, Arizona on my count on three. 1...2...3..." we flipped the sheet to see multiple organs bleeding out on us.
" OKAY I NEED TO GET TO AN O.R. NOW OR SHES NOT GONNA MAKE IT!" I yelled
" you heard her let's move!"
We were almost done with her surgeries when something went wrong.
" What's going on guys?!" Owen asked.
" her organs... The sutures aren't holding."
" Derek, Amelia?"
" she's hemorrhaging."
" cristina?"
" her heart it's just tearing apart."
" decision?"
" no Owen she's 9."
" wait what?" Amelia asked. We all just stared at Owen.
" we need to make the decision now people."
" what's the question?" Amelia asked.
" he wants to know if we want to let her bleed out or try to pull a code red." Callie said.
" try to leave her body in the open."
" yeah."
" it's a risk." I said
" a big one but is it worth it." Derek said
" she's 9 we want to do everything don't we?"
" alright everybody fix what you can and get her into ICU. I want somebody with her 24/7."
Everyone started to repair.
" done." I said
" done." Derek said
" done." Cristina said.
" alright let's get her upstairs. " Owen called up to the ICU.
We rolled her up carefully and got her into the room.
" where are the parents?" Amelia asked.
" dad said he left her with the mother and now the mom is at jail."
" why?"
" no." I said in disbelief.
" yeah."
" what? What did she do?"
" she fed her to the wolves." I said
" dad isn't here yet." Owen added. We all sat there for hours.
It was almost midnight when Owen came back in.
" I'd say go home but that's too far away. But you need the rest. Keep the pagers on and grab an on- call room."
We all headed out.
