" what are we going to do?" Amelia asked. I didn't respond. " DEREK!"
" Amelia start compressions!" Mer said. Everybody ran into the OR.
" No stop." I said
" what?" Amelia asked
" Amelia finish closing. Get me the paddles. Amelia when I say go you close when I say stop I want all hands off understand?"
" yes."
" let's do this. Okay. Stop." And we shocked him.
" go." A couple of seconds later " stop."
Another shock. " go."
We got him back to life and closed his head up and brought him to the ICU.
We went to Charlotte's room where they were all sitting.
" well how is he?" She asked.
" he's stable for now." I said " we need to keep an eye on him."
" thank you Derek."
" there's one problem."
" what?"
" we have to head back to Seattle and I don't trust the doctors here to finish my job. Would you be willing to come to Seattle?"
" yeah I think we can work that out". Coop said.
" good. I will get your discharge papers."
And walked out.
" what is going on?" Naomi asked
" they are signing the transfer of care papers so we can bring Mason back to Seattle with us."
" you sure about this?" Sam asked
" I don't trust the doctors here and yes I know it's Charlotte's hospital but she seriously needs to consider firing some people."
We all giggled.
" okay let's get him going." Cooper came up with the papers.
" okay let's do this." I said and we got him ready to go to Seattle and headed to the hospital.
Once we got him there he got better in a week. He woke up a week after his surgery.
" Mason how we feeling?" I asked.
" good." He smiled
" no lying."
" I promise".
" okay. I think you'll be able to get out of here today if you pass all your tests."
" really?" Cooper asked
"Yes sir." I said. Addison came up and whispered something to me.
" right now?" I asked
" would you like me to ask her to wait?" She joked.
" no."
" what's going on?" Mer asked
" well. Coop, Mason. You are about to become a daddy and big brother again."
" she's in labor?!" He jumped up.
" yes so come now." Addison said and they both ran down the hall.
" let's get you to some tests and then go see your sisters." I said.
He had passed all the tests so o discharged him and led him to his mom and sisters.
" thank you Derek. Thanks everybody." Cooper said
" hey no problem. Congrats daddy." I gave him a hug.
" Thank you Derek."
" your welcome congrats mommy."
The nurse handed them their discharge papers and we all headed home.
" you ready?" I asked mer.
" ready."
" come on."
We headed home where we spent the night with the kids and relaxed. It was good to be home.
