And it continues

I woke up the next morning with two police officers standing outside my room. Mark and Addison were in the room talking.
" why are there police officers outside my room?" I asked sitting up.
" easy Mer watch your leg." Addison said.
" Mark?!"
" Meredith we had to Derek wouldn't leave"
" YOU GOT DEREK ARRESTED?!"
" no they gave him a warning to stay away."
" he's my husband Mark he's gonna come and visit me!"
" he hurt you meredith we are just taking precautions." Addison said
" he hurt you too and Owen!"
" yeah so we are just being careful. He might have to go see a therapist."
" NO THIS SHOULD'NT BE HAPPENING HE WAS DRUNK WE ALL GET DRUNK!"
" we don't all start throwing punches and pushing each other!" Mark yelled back.
" Meredith its for the best right now." Addison added.
" you know what's for the best right now if everyone would just leave me alone for a few minutes."
" okay we will leave you here. Call us if you need us."
" yeah."
They left and I just stared at the ceiling until they came to round on me.
" Wilson go ahead." Owen said
" no."
" what?" Alex asked
" just tell me when I can go home."
" Meredith..." Jo said
" what?"
" you're still hurt you can maybe get out a week from now."
" I have to work guys."
" not until that leg is healed." Callie said.
This was gonna be the worst week of my life.

LATER THAT NIGHT...

Mark was the only one in the room when we heard commotion outside.
" JUST LET ME SEE HER ITS MY WIFE I NEED TO MAKE SURE SHES OKAY! MEREDITH!" Derek yelled
"Go tell them to let him in." I told Mark
" Meredith..."
" Mark... Go."
He opened the door.
" it's okay guys let him in." He told them. Derek came to my side.
" Meredith I am so sorry sweetie I love you I promise I'll never do that again."
He was crying.
" Derek..."
" when you come home we are going to make everything better between us."
" I'm not coming home Derek."
Amy walked in.
" what?" Mark and Derek asked at the same time.
" I'm not going home."
" what does that mean Meredith?" Derek asked
" I just think it's a bad idea for me to come home right now that's all."
" we're married that's our house. We live there, we have a family, you have to come home. Where else you gonna go?"
" no I don't have to go back I can find another place to stay."
" fine than you do that."
" Derek.." Amy said
" I am. I'm finding another place to stay. I'm sorry Derek."
" no you're not."
" yes I am. I'm sorry this didn't work out. I'm sorry this happened. I just don't know what to do right now."
" I'm sorry this happened. What are you sorry for you didn't hit yourself. I hurt you. Come home Meredith."
" I can't Derek. We need a break. And I'm taking the kids with me wherever I go. I just can't stay with you right now."
" Meredith what does this mean?"
" It means that this is over."
" Meredith.. Please no I still love you."
" I still love you too it's just it's too much right now. I can't I'm sorry."
" please don't do this."
" Derek leave."
" no I'm staying."
" Derek go now! Now! Go!"
" come on Derek." Mark took him out into the hallway and explained to the cops what happened. I started to cry. Everyone came in.
" what happened?" Alex asked. Mark and Amy explained it all in the hallway. Everybody walked back in and gave me hugs.
" Meredith listen, Jo and I want to know if you would come and move in with us until you figure things out with Derek." Alex asked
" I can't do that I can't impose."
" you're not. Come on Mer come live in your old house. You and the kids. We want you there. Please Meredith?" Jo asked
" fine yes I will move in with you. I just have to grab my stuff."
" Owen, jackson and I are going."
" no I can do it."
" no you can't we got it."
They left and came back with my stuff.
" I'm gonna go pick up the kids from daycare." Jackson said.
" I have to go." I said
" why?" Alex asked
" because I haven't seen my kids in two days."
" I'll bring them up."
" no I can go down Alex."
" no you can't mer, you're hurt, you're in a hospital let us help you."
I didn't argue with him and he brought the kids back up. I just wanted to be home in my bed, but that didn't look like it was happening for a while.
