DEREK POV:

We were all sitting in the room when Alex came in.
" Mrs. Dempsey, I have the pleasure of telling you that you are going home today."
" really?" She asked
" really. You can go home."
" well mom you get to leave this place." I said
" Derek will head home with you tonight and make sure you're settled." Mer said
She didn't look happy.
" ma what's wrong?" Amelia asked
" nothing. It's just two out of five of my kids are here and I never see them."
" mom you will see us. I promise. We will visit" I said
" when?"
" summer."
She sighed.
" alright mom time to go." Mer said.
" wait Alex? Is it?" She asked
" yes ma'am." He said
" that girl. Your girlfriend. You need to propose to her. Soon. She won't wait forever."
" mom..." I said
" you're right. She won't. I'll get on that." He said smiling.
" okay so I'll be back by Monday, you gonna be okay with the kids?" I asked mer
" yeah I'll be fine have fun. Bye mom."
" bye meredith."
" I love you." I said
" I love you too. Now go."

MEREDITH POV:

They walked out the doors.
" sooooo you're going to propose... Soon?"
" I was thinking when Derek got back."
" why when he gets back?"
" just so everyone can be here."
" ohhhh you're trying to get back at him for Valentine's Day!" I giggled
" yeah... Sorta."
" yeah. Sorta." I mocked " he wants you to be happy Alex. So be happy." I continued. I walked away.
" what's that idiot up to?" Jackson asked
" something not idiotic." I said
" that's a first."
" please your the idiotic brothers."
" just like you and Cristina were the twisted sisters?"
" loud and proud."
We both laughed.
" when's Derek coming back?"
" he'll be back Monday."
" I'm glad his moms okay."
" me too."
Mark came up to me.
" they're on their way home."
" okay good. I think I'm gonna head home with the kids."
" yeah me too. I'll follow ya."
" night mark." We both said
" night guys."
We both headed to the daycare and I headed home to have a peaceful night with my kids.
