Its about time

MER POV:

Derek came home this morning and was playing with Olivia on the floor.
" coming to work?" I asked
" yeah, later though. Alex is meeting me here."
" what about?"
" I have no idea."
" okay well I'll see you later love you."
" love you too." And I left.

DEREK POV:
There was a knock on the door. I got up and opened it.
" how's your mom?" He asked walking in
" good. Thanks." I said. We both sat down as he played with the kids.
" alex..."
" yeah."
" what did you need?" I laughed
" oh yeah right. I'm proposing to Jo today."
" really?! Good for you man."
" I need your help though."
" what for?"
" I don't know how to do it."
" do it where she loves to be."
" so the hospital...."
" so the hospital."
We drove to the hospital and found out a way to do it. I just needed to advise everyone while he got ready. Once it was time we all went to the emergency room.
" alex you ready?" I asked
" Yepp."
He took a deep breath. I paged her 911. I had a team run with her into the ER.
" Dr. Shepherd? What's going on?"
" 40 year old male head laceration."
" so why do you need me?"
" listen wilson you need to learn all specialties not just peds." I looked at her
" yes sir."
" call up to the OR tell them we are heading up."
She did it. The patient didn't even have a problem. It was an OB doctor that we knew Jo didn't know. He said he would just lay there.

IN THE OR:

" are we gonna open him up?" She asked
" no. Not yet."
" what why?"
" I need to plan a route."
We stood there for about an hour. Then there was a knock on the gallery window.
We both looked up. Mer, Jackson and April were holding a sign that read:
LOOK IN THE SCRUB ROOM!
With an arrow below it.
She turned and looked.
" alex?"
He was dressed in a suit. He opened the door.
" Alex wait you can't come in. You need to scrub." Jo said
" no I'm done here. It's all yours alex." I said
" wait what?"
" Wilson we're done here. You can scrub out."
" but we didn't even do anything." She said surprised. The gallery was cleared by now. Everybody was in the OR.
" what is everybody doing?" She asked
" come on Jason you can get up now." I said getting him off the OR table.
" wait who? Jason? Wait what?"
" jo, look at me. This was all planned. For you. Because I love you. And I know last time was a disaster but I'm not going to give up one you. On us. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Just you and me. I love you Jo. Will you marry me?" Alex asked getting down on one knee.
"YESSS!" She jumped up and hugged him.
We all went to the bar. The guys had drinks in their hands. Alex came over.
" congrats man." I said giving alex a hug.
" thanks."
Mer came over.
" can I talk to you?" She asked
" yeah sure..." I said shrugging.
" somebody's in trouble...." Mark said.
I glared at them. She led us to the bathroom.
" what's up?" I asked
She slammed into me and kissed me hard unbuckling my pants.
" woah woah, as much as I want to, not in a bathroom."
" why not?" She asked
" because it's just not right."
" oh my god!"
She stormed out. I followed behind her.
" what's that about?" Jackson asked
" I have no idea."
