Christmas Day Part 4

I started to cook dinner. Addison arrived to the party with everyone else.
" where's your fiancée?" I asked meredith standing right beside me holding my hand.
" he couldn't make it and he says sorry."
" I bet." I said
" DEREK!" Meredith yelled
" it's okay I deserve it. I'm not staying long I just stopped by to see everyone."
Meredith nudged me.
" Addison ( sigh) stay here I'm making dinner just sit down and eat with us."
" are you sure?"
" yeah I mean your already here" Meredith said.
" alright."
Mark had proposed to Lexie a week before and were engaged. They were always telling people even if they knew they were excited and that was cute.
" Addison why are you here." Mark asked.
" Mark come on..." I said
" well they are trying to be nice but I'm not go home Addison you have no business here. Just go home."
"MARK!" Lexie yelled
Everyone was standing around awkwardly.
" alrighty then I see where I stand here. Goodbye everybody it was nice to see you all."
" Addison..." We all said. It was too late she was out the door.
" dinners ready!" I said breaking the silence.
We all sat together and ate our Christmas dinner.
" so Derek how'd it feel?" Lexie asked
" what?"
" Anna"
" guys I swear I thought I was gonna lose her I'm so glad we got her heart to restart."
" yeah me too." Cristina said.
Meredith was sitting across the table from me.
" the house looks beautiful babe" I said
" yeah Mer you did good" everyone said
" the food is amazing though your right I wouldn't have been able to cook this." Everyone started to laugh. Once dinner was done everyone helped clean up and we all sat around the tree.
" who wants to go first?" I asked.
" ooooo me I wanna give my present to you guys." Lexie said.
She handed us two boxes. I opened it and the box was white I knew it was a clothing box.
" a tie?" I asked
" nooo bud just open it." Mark said. They were both smiling.
" you both smiling like that it's a little creepy."
" sorry."
Everyone laughed. It was a shirt and a mug.
" best uncle ever." I read.
" best aunt ever." Meredith read.
" your pregnant?" I asked
Meredith jumped up. " OH MY GOD LEXIE YOU'RE PREGNANT!"
" I AM!!!" She yelled. Everyone got up and said their congrats. Then we finished up with the presents.
" does anybody want coffee?" Mer asked. A couple people raise their hands. We got dessert ready an everybody gathered around the table again. It was around 2 in the morning and Zola and Bailey were knocked out on the floor. I put them in their beds and waited for Mer to get out of the shower.
" Derek come on come to bed with me." She called from the bedroom.
I shut everything down.
" I'm gonna take a shower first." I said
When I was done with my shower Mer was waiting for me in bed.
" I love you Derek."
I turned over and spooned her " I love you too."
She smiled " Merry Christmas."
" Merry Christmas meredith."
