" no I'm your sister I'm allowed to butt in." Amelia said closing the door " what is this about you leaving meredith?" She continued.
" I'm not leaving Meredith."
" but you aren't staying at home?"
" it was one night Amelia. I'm going back tonight."
" if you don't want to you can always come to owen and my place. Honestly I'm a little offended you didn't come."
" I figured you had enough on your hands for now."
" I always have room for my favorite brother."
" thanks sis."
" now this whole thing with the President..."
" oh god..."
" why did you answer so soon?"
" what was I supposed to do I needed to give him an answer."
" okay but you could have took time to think about it. derek this is a big deal."
" I know it is. But who's gonna take over for me here?"

Owen crossed my path
" what's going on here?" He asked
" I'm taking the rest of the day off is that okay with you?"
" yeah I guess just get someone to cover you."
" sharkie over here will."
" okay... Sharkie?" He asked Amelia and she rolled her eyes. I grabbed the kids and headed home. I decided to stay a few more nights at Alex's until I got everything straightened out. I packed a couple more of my stuff and then some for the kids and headed out.

MEREDITH POV:

I got home around 2ish and went inside.
" Derek? are you home?" I called but he didn't answer. I went into the kids room but nobody was there. I went into our room and saw that more of his stuff was missing. I tried to call Cristina but got her voicemail.
" hey you reached Cristina I can't get to the phone so leave your name and I'll get back to you bye." Beeeep.
" cristina it's Mer. I need to talk to yo I'm having sort of a crisis. Give me a call when you get the chance."
I hung up and fell asleep.
