Scarlett’s POV
I wake up to a cold bed with no Sam. I glance at the clock to see it’s one in the morning. I look at the baby monitors she’s not there. I grab my phone and go downstairs and hear music coming from the studio she must haven’t closed the door all the way. The only reason Sam records music at this time of night is if she had a nightmare. I look at my phone and see the date shit how could I forget. It’s the anniversary of the day her Dad beat her in front of me and it was so bad I took her to the hospital. I sit at the top of the steps as I listen to finish up ‘Reasons’. I wait for her to come out but instead she starts to sing another song that I haven’t heard yet.

She finishes the song and I am silently crying. After a little bit I get a notification that she posted something on Instagram so I take a look and it makes me laugh.

There aren’t any comments from our friends and the other cast members due to what time it is. Sam comes out of the studio surpised to see me sitting at the top of the stairs. “How long have you been there?” She asks. “Long enough to hear the new song. What’s it called?” I ask her. “It’s called ‘I Lost Myself’ I had a nightmare so I went to work on my music. Did I wake you?” She asks. “The feeling of an empty bed woke me. I came downstairs and heard you singing and I knew you needed to release so I just listened. I'm sorry I forgot the anniversary was coming up.” I tell her. “Hey it’s ok we have five kids don’t beat yourself up. Plus you are right I needed a release so I went to my music. I honestly just came up with the lyrics to ‘I Lost Myself’ on the spot.” She admits. “Well it’s really good.” I say honestly. “Thank you Baby. Let's go back to bed.” She suggests holding out her hand for me and I grab her hand and she helps me up. “Can we cuddle?” I ask. “You don’t have to ask of course we can cuddle. We get back to our room and lay down with our leg intertwined, my head on her chest and arm around her torso and her arms wrapped around me. “Do you want to watch something?” She asks. “Only if I’m not in it.” I grumble, making her laugh. I was thinking an I Dream Of Jennie marathon.” She says. “Yeah I like that. You do need to get some sleep because you have Fallon tonight to release the new album.” I tell her. “Will you come with me?” She asks. “Of course Liz can take the kids she’s been asking for more time with them.” I tell her. “Thank you.” She says. “You don’t have to thank me you come with me to my interviews all the time.” I tell her. “I mean for saving me all those years ago.” She sniffles as I Dream Of Jennie plays in the background. “I couldn’t let him hurt you anymore.” I tell her. “I love you more than you could ever know.” She kisses me. “I love you more than you could possibly know too.” I say kissing her again. “Let’s enjoy watching Jennie’s hijinks.” I say and she nods and we both let sleep consume us.
