Sam’s POV
I wake up to Scarlett laughing at something on her phone. “What’s so funny?” I ask in my gruff morning voice. “Look at Sarah’s post.” She laughs so I pull out my phone to look at what Sarah posted and it is funny.

“Natasha would so do this”

“I was going to post that one but she beat me to it.” I pout. “Don’t pout Babe, it's just a meme.” Scarlett says. “Eh true.” I shrug. “Is Benji still coming today for you to record ‘My Little Secret’?” Scarlett questions. “Yeah he said he’ll be here around ten or ten thirty.” I tell her as I get up. “Ok I’ve got a meeting for some possible movie parts with Tina.” She says. “I think you should take that JoJo Rabbit one. It seems good.” I tell her. “And how would you know that?” She raises an eyebrow. “Well that night you fell asleep in the office I went to get you and the test script was out and I couldn’t help myself and I read the first few pages before carrying you upstairs.” I admit. “You really think I should take it?” She asks. “Yes I do. Now it’s nine and very quiet which is never a good sign.” I say forgetting that all the kids but Elizabeth are in New York with Melanie. “That’s because the kids are in New York and Elizabeth just hasn’t woken up yet which is weird she’s normally an early riser.” Scarlett says her eyebrows coming together in thought. “That’s because when she woke up at five I sang her to sleep. She did wake up I just lulled her back to sleep.” I tell her. “Oh I didn’t wake up at all.” Scarlett says and as if we jinxed ourselves the baby monitor starts going off. “I’ll get her since you got her this morning.” Scarlett says getting out of bed and off to Elizabeth. “Hey sweet girl. Good morning. Are you hungry yeah ok lets get you fed.” I hear Scarlett say through the monitor. I walk out of the bedroom and head to the nursery and stand against the doorway and watch as Scarlett takes care of Elizabeth. “Now you are all ready for the day and your Mama is going to love your onesie yes she is.” She says in a singsong voice. “And why will I like it so much?” I ask, getting Scarlett’s attention. “Lets show Mama.” Scarlett says and picks up Elizabeth who is wearing a onesie with my band logo on it. I didn’t even know they made those and I’m in charge of merch. “I don’t remember making band logo onesies.” I chuckle. I will admit it’s quite cute. “I had it made, it came in yesterday. I just had to wash it before she could wear it. Isn’t it cute.” She beams. “Yeah it is cute.” I say as we hear the front door open and shut. “I’M HERE YOU BETTER NOT BE FUCKING!!” Benji calls out, making Scarlett and I laugh. We head downstairs and Benji laughs when he sees the onesie. “Oh my god that’s adorable.” He says. “You ready?” He asks me. “Yep Scarlett you want to join we always nail it the first time when you are there.” Benji says and he’s not wrong she’s lucky. “Sure I have some time.” She says and we all head for the studio. “I know we planned on doing ‘My Little Secret’ but I thought maybe we should do ‘Never Ending Nightmare’ instead.” Benji says to me. “Yeah I can do that. You get set up and I will make sure the recording equipment is ready.” I tell him. “Ok Scarlett you ready?” I ask. “As much as I will be.” She says with a smile and gives me a kiss. “That’s for luck.” She says when we pull apart, making me smile.

I open my eyes and have to wipe away a few tears that slipped out. It looks like Scarlett is crying as well that’s not my intent. I walk into the sound booth to talk with Scarlett about it and to turn off the recording equipment. “Hey Baby are you ok?” I gently ask. “Yeah it’s just. Some of your songs have just raw emotion in them and you are able to show it when you are singing. I know that is what you are going for and you do it perfectly.” She says. “Thank you. I don’t really know what to say.” I say truthfully. “Let’s do a duet. You’ve asked me to do it before so let’s do it.” She says knowing I already have half of one written just my part. “You are going to have to  write your parts you know.” I smile. “I know and I think I know what I am going to write.” She says. “This is us.” I say. “What?” She asks. “That’s what I want to call it. This is Us, what do you think?” I ask. “I love it. Can you take her? I have to get on a video call with Tina.” She says handing me Elizabeth and we hear Benji groan at the mention of Tina. I know they broke up but what the fuck did she do to my best friend? “I’ll talk to him.” I tell Scarlett seeing the concerned expression on her face she nods giving me a peck on the lips before leaving.
