“Well now the world knows.” I say to Scarlett. “Yep. I have to get back to set. You gonna be ok?” Scarlett asks yeah. “I have to record the lyrics to a song.” I say pulling out my portable gear from my bag. “That’s what’s in that bag.” She says. “What did you was in there?” I ask. “Honestly don’t know.” She says before leaving.

Scarlett’s POV
I  get done with filming and when I enter the trailer Sam has headphones on and her back to me she is tapping her foot counting herself in before she sings.

“It's 3am again”
“My mind is caving in”
“But no one's listening”
“But no one's listening”
“Bottles of medicine”
“My closest thing to friends”
“'Cause no one's listening”
'”Cause no one's listening”

“I'm on the edge of a crisis”
“But why should I make a scene?”
“Is there any reason to fight this”
“If nobody's losing sleep?”

“My life's a ledge right now”
“Nobody knows about”
“There's no one to talk me down”
“There's no one to talk me down”
“So sick of reaching out”
“Silence is getting loud”
“With no one to talk me down”
“With no one to talk me down”

“No one, no one to talk me”
“No one, no one to talk me”
“No one, nobody to stop me”
“No one, no one to talk me down”

“These thoughts drag me away”
“Down to the darkest place”
“But no one's listening”
“But no one's listening”
“People I have to chase”
‘Prove I'm not worth the pain”
“'Cause no one's listening”
“Why won't they listen?”

“My life's a ledge right now”
“Nobody knows about”
“There's no one to talk me down”
“There's no one to talk me down”
“So sick of reaching out”
“Silence is getting loud”
“With no one to talk me down”
“With no one to talk me down”

“I've tried to call in the crisis”
“But nobody's answering”
“Is there any reason to fight this”
“If nobody's missing me?”

“My life's a ledge right now”
“Nobody knows about”
“There's no one to talk me down”
“There's no one to talk me down”
“My life's a ledge right now”
“Nobody knows about”
“There's no one to talk me down”
“There's no one to talk me down”
“So sick of reaching out”
“Silence is getting loud”
“With no one to talk me down”
“With no one to talk me down”

“No one, no one to talk me”
“No one, no one to talk me”
“No one, nobody to stop me”
“No one, no one to talk me down”

She stops the recording and takes off her headphones and I see her shoulders shaking from crying. “Babe?” I call out. “Fuck. How much did you hear?” She asks which isn’t what she normally says. “The whole song.” I tell her. “Why didn’t you announce yourself?” She asks defensively as if she didn’t want anyone to hear her. “Why are you yelling?” I ask, crossing my arms. “I’m sorry I just need to go on a walk.” She says but I stop her. “Not alone.” I say grabbing her forearm, making her wince and pull back. “What happened to your arm?” I ask as I see blood seep through the sleeve fuck she’s been sober from cutting for so long. “I’m sorry.” She says putting her head in her hands as she sits on the couch. “Why? Honey why didn’t you come to me I could have helped.” I ask getting on my knees in front of her. “I couldn’t. I couldn’t go on set.” She says crying. “Did a crew member stop you?” I ask and she shakes her head no. “It was the explotions I thought I was ok but then memories came flooding in and I just couldn’t cope I’m sorry.” She cries. “Don’t apologize. Can I take a look?” I ask and she pulls up her sleeve showing two new cuts. “Come here let’s get you cleaned up and bandaged and you need to change your shirt.” I tell her. She takes off her shirt leaving her in her tank top. “You aren’t mad?” She asks. “No Babe I’m not mad at you. There all clean and bandaged. Where’s the knife or blade that you used?” I ask. “Here.” She says handing me her multitool that she keeps on her belt. “Thank you.” I tell her putting them in my pocket I go to hide them in the outer storage compartment of the trailer. “Why are you with me?” She asks, stopping me in my tracks. “What? How could ask that? I’m with you because I love you. You are my best friend and love of my life. I love you and that will never change.” I tell her, caressing her face. “But I.” She starts. “No, no buts Sam. I love you all of you even the bad parts. You aren’t alone I’ll go through this with you.” I tell her.
Sam’s POV
I lean into Scarlett’s touch and cry at those three words. ‘You aren’t alone’. “I love you so much.” I say crying and she pulls my head down to rest on her shoulder and she wraps her arms around me and I wrap mine around her. “You’re short.” I joke. “And you’re tall. Why are we stating the obvious?” She asks. “I don’t know. It must look really weird when you are the one comforting me to other people.” I say. “I don’t care what other people think it looks like. Come on let’s lay down.” She says and I nod and we lay down on the surprisingly comfortable bed in her trailer and she start’s singing a song she wrote for me years ago.

“You tie your feet in a lonely rope”
“A rock to the bottom of your endless soul”
“You close your eyes and wish it'd fade”
“All the pain of yesterday”
“You gotta know it's gonna get better”
“You gotta know that you're so close”
“When the world is broken”
“When you don't feel safe”
“I'll never leave your side”
“When you're rolling under”
“The crashing waves”
“I'll never leave your side”
“I'll never leave your side”
“Cross your heart and testify”
“We'll see the sun in the nick of time”
“Catch your breath, I'll hold the line”
“Together's keeping us alive”
“I want you to know the worst is over”
“I want you to know you'll find your way”
“When the world is broken”
“When you don't feel safe”
“I'll never leave your side”
“When you're rolling under”
“The crashing waves”
“I'll never leave your side”
“I'll never leave, I'll never leave your side”
“Don't wanna leave, don't wanna leave your side”
“I'll never leave, I'll never leave your side”
“Don't wanna leave, don't wanna leave your side”
“When the world is broken”
“When you don't feel safe”
“I'll never leave your side”
“When you're rolling under”
“The crashing waves”
“I'll never leave your side”

She finishes singing and I fall asleep in her arms.
