Sam’s POV
“Danny. Danny.” Scarlett whispers as she sits on one side of his bed and I sit on the other. “Hey there you are. Good morning sweetie. Do you know what today is?” I say. “It’s Danny day.” He smiles. “Yes it is.” Scarlett chuckles. “Mama will you sing my song?” Danny asks. “Let me go get my guitar.” I say I run downstairs to the studio and get my blue acoustic. And head back to his room Sarah has now joined. “Mama is going to sing my song.” Danny smiles at his sister. “That’s awesome let’s listen.” She says as I start to play.

“I love you too Mama. And I love you Mommy. And I love you the mostest Sarah.” He says hugging her. “I love you too Danny. Do you want to post a meme with me?” Sarah grins. “Yeah!” He cheers. He scrolls through her phone for a bit before choosing one. “This one you should do this one.” He tells her. “That’s a good one.” She smiles.

After a few hours everyone that said they’d come is here and per Danny’s request they have to call today ‘Danny day’ which is kinda cute. We are all out in the yard which is a pretty good size. Danny said he wanted BBQ which is one of the only things I can make without lighting myself on fire or blowing shit up. It’s just the adults now and I’m putting away the grill when my phone buzzes.

“What are you laughing at?” Benny asks as he helps me with the grill. “Oh just Scarlett and I are texting.” I tell him as we finish putting everything away.
