Cookie inched into the darkening prison again. She noticed that same smell again. Stale and unhappy.

She exhaled. She tried to focus on why she was here. To see Anika again and hope that she's done what Cookie has asked her to. She wondered if she'd see her with a scraped lip, a black eye, or maybe even swelling somewhere. Cookie remembered when she first got in, she had one of those. She didn't remember which, but it put her through hell to deal with.

Once Anika came out to the tables, Cookie realized that she didn't have any injuries. However, her face was stone cold. She didn't seem as vulnerable as she was the month before. Cookie knew exactly what this meant. She was hardening just like she needed to.
