A Few Weeks Later

The woman bobbed her head as she listened to some smooth r&b course through her phone speaker. She was lying on a pillow on the shining floor atop a fur coat, reading through a sheet of paper that had, through the recent moving process, accidentally ripped out of an old magazine.

Loreatha- Lori for short, was tired. After she and Anika got back from their honeymoon, it was right to packing. Before they knew it, everything was packed up and they were ready to go.

There was a knock on her door, and she got up quickly.

Anika stood on the other side of the door, looking down at her phone. Lori pulled the door open, and Anika glided inside. "Okay, the moving truck is downstairs. Our flight is leaving at 2. All this stuff we agreed to ship to the house, right?" Anika asked, looking at Lori who stared with a straight face as she backed away from the door. "Is something wrong?" Anika asked. Lori shook her head.
