"Jisung! Is there anything else you need before we head back out?" Felix called across the room to his best friend.

"Yeah, actually.. can you come here?" Jisung waved him over. Felix looked at Hyunjin, who nodded and started counting the amount of canvases that were at the center in preparation.

Felix walked over to Jisung with a questioning look.

"What happened to your plans with Woo to where you ended up out and cozy with his best friend?"

Felix sighed and rolled his eyes. "Why do you say it like that? I'm literally helping the guy out." Felix huffed. "Look, he arrived yesterday from Arizona and Woo got shitfaced drunk. He had a massive hangover this morning, so that's what happened to our plans."

Jisung rolled his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest. "So what you're saying is that Wooyoung is the reason you guys didn't get to spend his so-called precious time together. And what? You're babysitting his best friend?"

It had never been a secret that Jisung was not Wooyoung's biggest fan. Jisung was often the one that Felix confided in about their relationship and he had seen it happen one too many times where Felix is the one apologizing or trying to reconcile after a fight.

"I'm not babysitting. He has been fighting me on helping him since we met. I just really needed to get out of the apartment for a while and Woo was supposed to take him to get things for his new place. I offered to go instead. That's it."

Jisung looked at him with pursed lips. "Ugh, fine. Just know that I'm this close to giving Woo a piece of my mind." Jisung hissed.

"Easy tiger. I'm going to make us a nice dinner tonight and will talk to him. Ok?" Felix looked at him with puppy eyes, his actual puppy eyes, and a pout.

Jisung sighed in defeat and nodded. "You know I can't deny that look."

Felix smiled mischievously and nodded.

"Ok, fine. Just let me know how it goes, promise?"

Felix nodded and gave Jisung a hug before grabbing Hyunjin and leaving the center. They remained in a more comfortable silence on the short drive back to the store.

"I'm gonna make a special dinner for Woo tonight. Do you want to just meet back by the registers when you're done with your groceries? Or did you need something else?" Felix asked, determined. He needed to keep his mind on the goal, prioritizing his relationship.

With a tinge of disappointment in his tone, Hyunjin answered, "Yeah, that's fine. I don't need anything else right now."

Felix went to the back of the store first, keeping as much distance between him and Hyunjin as possible. Sure, he was being excessive and probably dramatic, but to him, this was urgent.

Felix had been hoping that Wooyoung would propose. They met at a time when he was really struggling. Felix specifically remembered one night around finals cramming time. He had a fight with his roommate at the time and was able to sleep over with Woo. They had only been together for about a month at that point, but Wooyoung stoked his hair and let him fall asleep on his lap. When he woke up the next morning, Wooyoung had slept sitting up so that Felix could get rest.

He knew that Woo wasn't perfect, but they had really been there for each other. They just hadn't been connecting. They hadn't been helping each other out or supporting each other like they used to. He was determined to fix that. He couldn't let his affection deprived state lead him down a path of insecurity he knew all too well. A path that would only confuse him into reacting in ways he shouldn't with a guy who wasn't the love of his life.
