"Mr. Lee?" The receptionist called out to the silent waiting room. She switched her gaze between Felix and the older gentleman who occupied a seat on the opposite end of the room.

Felix could feel his heart racing in his chest. He didn't know why this was so scary to him. He helped others all the time, handed out countless pamphlets, and provided phone numbers to every person who came by the center. He advocated for this all the time.. so why did it feel like he was walking into an interrogation?

"Felix Lee?" The receptionist repeated, this time looking directly at him. The other man shook his head to signal he was not the one she was calling.

Felix took a deep breath and stood up from the chair, massaging his hands intensely with the nerves. He cringed internally at the damp nature of his palms, only further proving his discomfort with the situation.

"Dr. Park will see you now." She smiled politely, gesturing over to the office door on her left.

Felix remained still and looked at the door.

"You can go ahead sweetheart..." the receptionist mused sweetly after the freckled boy remained still in front of her.

Felix wiped his hands on his pants and walked forward, huffing forcefully before he pushed down the handle and opened up the door.

A beautiful woman who seemed to be in her late twenties was fixing up the room, placing the pillows back in the correct position on the large brown sofa that sat in the center of the room.

At the sound of the door closing, she turned over her shoulder and shot Felix a bright smile.

There was something about the long blonde hair and how it compliment the woman's slender figure that seemed familiar to him. The way she smiled genuinely, managing to show through the amused sparkle in her eyes, filled Felix with the first inkling of comfort that day, something he happily welcomed in this very moment.

"You must be Felix!" The doctor greeted kindly. Her voice was warm and inviting, instantly reminding him of his mother. The accent was a clear giveaway that she was foreign... considering it was eerily reminiscent of Chan's, he assumed it was Australian.. maybe?

"I am." Felix stated back, his tone still shy and nervous but no longer shaky.

"I was just getting the couch all comfortable before we started. Please, have a seat. Can I get you some water?" She offered politely.

Felix scrunched his brows in surprise, not expecting a therapist he was paying to see to offer him accommodations. "Me?" He asked impulsively, covering his mouth after as if he said something offensive.

The therapist's smile widened slightly. "I find it helps with the nerves. There's something grounding about holding a cold glass in your hands that you can look at instead of me." She explained calmly, not showing an ounce of judgement in her expression or tone.

Felix smiled softly at the consideration and looked down at his fingers, lacing them to stop himself from fiddling with them any longer. "Yes please.." He admitted with pursed lips.

Dr. Park nodded her head and grabbed the glass of water, passing it to her client with the same sweet and warm smile.

"As you may know, I'm Dr. Park. You can call me Roseanne, though. I'm here to help you, and for that I want you to feel comfortable, not like you are in an interrogation." She started sweetly as she sat down on the chair across from the couch. "Just to get the disclaimers out of the way, everything you tell me is confidential except for two exceptions. One, if you tell me that you are actively planning to hurt yourself in a way that threatens your life, I will have to call for further assistance." She explained, keeping the same calm demeanor. It surprised Felix to think of someone being so calm while discussing such a heavy subject.
