"First time meeting the parents?" Jeonging asked with a lighthearted chuckle when the pair separated from the rest of the group.
Felix pursed his lips and blushed. "That obvious?"
Jeongin laughed lightly. "I thought you were doing fine. But Hyunjin seemed to be concerned about your well-being." He elaborated with a playful tone.
Felix groaned softly and touched his cheeks to hide his reaction to it all. "Ugh! I must have been so awkward.. his mom probably thinks I have something to hide or some deep da-"
"Felix, relax!" Jeonging laughed louder, touching his shoulder. "His mom is an... interesting character. She can be intense.. at least from what I've noticed in the short time I've known her. But, she clearly loves him and I have no doubt she will love you too. You're extremely charming." He smiled sweetly.
Felix pursed his lips into a shy smile. He wasn't really sure how to respond to a compliment like that.. was he just being friendly or fli-
"Hey, listen..." Jeongin started bashfully as he stopped their walk in a less crowded part of the gallery.
Felix felt his stomach drop. He didn't really know what to expect right now.
"I'm sorry for being so forward before.. when we first met. I didn't know you and Hyunjin were together and I hate that it made you uncomfortable. I didn't really see it then but I would have hated for you to feel like you had to accept, let alone return my advances because of the fact that you were scared I wouldn't work with Hyunjin if you didn't..." the owner elaborated with guilt.
Felix smiled sweetly and shook his head. "It's okay. We weren't together then, but I appreciate you saying that." He sighed in relief. "My best friend, Jisung, who is actually here today too, is forward like you. I just know his flirty ways aren't romantic." He giggled. "Good to know yours aren't either."
Jeonging looked back with pursed lips. "I mean, in the beginning they very much were.. but I know when to take my L." He joked lightly. "But... now that that's cleared up..." He mused with a smirk. "I really do like your viewpoint.. are you really a colleague of Hyunjins?" He asked with a tilted head.
Felix smirked back. "Are you trying to poach me, Innie?" He teased.
The owner blushed slightly and shook his head, although pausing in thought shortly after. "Actually.. maybe?" He chuckled sheepishly.
Felix giggled but shortly after shook his head. "Sorry to disappoint.. but no, I'm not.... at least not in his art world. I don't have any art history, actually. I run a community center outside of town." He explained pridefully.
Jeongin widened his eyes. "Which town? What does that entail? That's intere-" he started to ramble, making Felix giggle once again.
"One question at a time, please!" He requested with a bright smile. "I can't keep track of all of that!"
Jeongin sighed to stop his excitement and looked back up. "Community center?" He started again.
"Yes. My best friend and I started it. It's basically a place where we try to help build up the community. We hold cooking classes, dance classes, Hyunjin teaches an art class th-"
"Art class?" Jeongin widened his eyes with piqued interest.
Felix giggled again at the cute nature of it all. Jeongin was like a puppy behind the professional facade... or at least as professional as he gets.
"Yes, we just started an art class. That's how I work wit-"
"Yep, he's practically my boss." Hyunjin completed with his parents trailing behind. He snaked his arm territorially around Felix's waist.
