When Hyunjin stepped on the bike and turned the key, he looked back over his shoulder. He was met with the top of Felix's head which the younger had rested against him.
The low chuckle Hyunjin let out, caused Felix to raise his head, shivers going down his spine from the vibrations against his cheek.
"Sorry princess, you can relax again in a bit" the older teased. "Where am I taking you? Unless you want to be stuck at my place."
Felix smirked and considered the offer seriously. "I mean.. I wouldn't mind." He teased back lightheartedly.
"Felix..." Hyunjin warned as he bit back a smile. "Don't tempt me.."
The younger rolled his eyes playfully and giggled. "Fine.." He pouted. "You can drop me off at the center and I'll ride back with Sung. You don't have to go out of your way to drop me off at home."
"Do you actually need to do anything at the center?" The older challenged, not wanting to drop Felix off there just to wait for Jisung.
"Is there ever nothing to do?" Felix challenged back. "Besides, I want to go through some of my things and figure out where to put it..." the playful expression turned sad "I know I joke about living there, but I don't actually want to move in." He chuckled, but it was slightly strained.
Hyunjin looked at him confused. "Jisung didn't tell you..?"
Felix returned the confused look. "No...? Jisung tells me a lot of things so you're gonna have to be specific." He giggled.
The sound of Felix's genuine giggle was music to Hyunjin's ears, who immediately smiled in response.
"I'm getting a garage at my place next week for some art stuff that is currently overtaking my apartment. Put it in there. If anything needs to be temperature controlled, I can put it in my place." Hyunjin explained firmly, knowing Felix would try to be independent.
As expected, Felix tried to argue. Hyunjin simply revved the engine of the motorcycle to cut him off each time the younger opened his mouth. Until, eventually, he huffed a pout and nodded his head.
Hyunjin smirked at the pouty freckled boy and laughed lightly, pulling Felix's arms around his waist and letting the younger get comfortable for the ride back.
Felix kept his head rested on Hyunjin's back the entire way. He was still lost in thought, but no longer an uncomfortable one. He kept replaying the kiss, the reassurance, the obvious restraint the artist was keeping. For once, he didn't think about the burden that he posed on the older, or that he was somehow keeping his true feelings inside. True feelings of nuisance. Hyunjin was more stubborn about his insistence on helping him, than Felix was on his insistence to avoid it. No matter how fake someone can be, that was simply too much effort to put into a scam. He really had no reason to avoid trusting Hyunjin.
Even the fact that he hid Wooyoung's cheating, was done out of care. It wasn't the best decision, but it was not malicious. Instead of the tension that caused Felix to hold on tighter to Hyunjin earlier, it was now gratitude.
Hyunjin felt the hold around his waist tighten some, making him smile softly and relax. It was comfortable. Felix nuzzled his cheek further into his back and he couldn't stop the coo. He thought it was adorable. He loved knowing that Felix felt comfortable. Loved knowing the younger felt safe enough to let his guard down. This is exactly what he has wanted since the beginning.
The realization hit him, though. Felix was not going to let him off easy, and he was going to have to stay strong for the both of them. It hasn't even been a day and he almost lost control twice. He could feel his breathing get deeper, and then it hitched. Felix had picked up on the deeper breaths and rubbed his stomach to try to comfort the older.
