It took all four of them hours to finish up the setup, not realizing how fast the time had even passed until the food trucks started to pull up to the lot.

Jisung grabbed his clipboard and started to sign them in one by one, directing them expertly to their areas so that they could set up. What that meant.. was that the guests would be arriving within the next hour.

As soon as Felix finished putting the last of the apples into the trough of water, he looked over at his twin, who had practically chewed the pen cap flat.

"Sungie.." He cooed pleadingly.

Jisung looked up with a slightly frantic but questioning expression, humming shortly to show he was listening.

Felix pulled the pen cap out of his mouth and held it up, chucking in a sympathetically endearing way when the older gave him a sheepish look.

"I'm sorry... habit." He shrugged apologetically.

Felix wiped the pen cap off on the small towel he was using earlier to dry his hands and took the pen, trying to fit the cap on it with no luck.

"It's gonna be okay, Sungie." He reassured with the softest and sweetest smile he could muster.

"I know..." Jisung started. He looked at the younger with a begrudging expression. "... okay, well, the rational brain knows that. Minho already gave me the whole spiel... I just love the little life we built and the routine. We have put so much into this... I would just hate for it to all be for nothing." He admitted sadly.

Felix grabbed his hands and sighed. "But it wouldn't have been. You know how much it has meant to people. We showed them all what we can do and how much impact it can all make. How much impact it HAS made." He urged confidently.

He had his own fears about everything and honestly also didn't know what he would do without it.. but the amount of good they had done in the past year was not something he was trying to deny.

Jisung inhaled deeply and swung their arms as he looked down at them. "Whatever happens we will still find a way to get it back.. right?" He asked pleadingly, the tone so vulnerable that it made Felix verbally coo.

"Of course.. we are in this together and I'm not giving up that easily." He scolded endearingly with a puffed chest.

Their moment was interrupted when the guests of the event started to pull up, one after the other. They were all led by Chan and Helen, who offered to help out as well.

They looked at eachother and took a deep breath, nodding with smiles before turning to their boyfriend's.

"It's show time!" They beamed simultaneously.

Jisung gathered up all of the volunteers for the night's event, explaining all of their roles and making sure everyone was on the same page.

Chan was in charge of the chili cookoff, organizing all of the contestants in their area and providing the sample cups. Every guest would get a voting card that they could turn in for a bowl of their choosing.

Hyunjin had his own booth with haybails surrounded by a frame of fairy lights and the discoball where he would be making cartoon sketches of guests that they could purchase for a low price.

Minho was in charge of getting the dance troop ready for their grand performance. They had a whole area with a small stage set up for announcements, a local band would be performing throughout the event, and of course, the dance performance as a highlight.

Helen ended up volunteering to run a game booth where they would do various competitions such as bobbing for apples, three legged races, hacky sack, and blindfolded shoestring races (where contestants are blindfolded and have their hands tied, racing to see who can finish eating a string of red licorice first.)
