Let It Go

Hyunjin's blood was boiling when he saw Jisung's car turn away out of view.

Ever since he arrived, Wooyoung had shown up when it was convenient. Half of the time, he would only call for help fixing problems that he got himself into. They weren't kids anymore. He knew that Wooyoung was hurt. And he knew that the older was probably mad. But he had no right to pull Felix into more mess than he already caused.

He couldn't just let it go. Whether it be pent up resentment, a feeling of betrayal, or simply the end to a childish game of keeping score, Hyunjin had enough. He marched back towards the apartment and knocked on the door.

"Woo!"

For a minute there was no response. Hyunjin knocked more aggressively.

"Wooyoung!"

Finally, after another minute of waiting, the door opened and Wooyoung stood in front of him with a clenched jaw and his arms crossed on his chest. "What, Hyunjin?" He spat.

Hyunjin raised his fist and punched Wooyoung in the face.

The older grabbed his face and hissed in pain. "What the fuck?!" He yelled out before swinging at Hyunjin, only for the artist to dodge his blow.

"I don't care what kind of issue you have with me, Woo. Leave Felix the fuck out of it!" The younger gritted.

"Wow. How noble of you." Wooyoung hissed sarcastically. "Let me guess, he came crying to you because big bad Woo shattered his little fantasy world?" He spat in anger. "You say I need to grow up? He's the one that needs to grow up! In the past week you have waited on him hand and foot and one sentence from me has him questioning it. Otherwise, you wouldn't be here, am I right?" He raised his brow challengingly.

Hyunjin almost broke skin with how tight he was squeezing his fist. He grabbed Wooyoung by the collar and slammed him against the door. "You fucking asshole. You made him feel like shit for being passionate about something and neglecting you for months when you were already checked out of the damn relationship. YOU cheated. YOU were an ass. YOU try to alienate him and make him feel like he's useless. He fucking told me to come here and help you because he still loved you. He's a fucking angel that for some god damn reason still loves you and you fucked that up all on your own. So if you EVER cared about him like you claimed to, leave him THE FUCK out of this!"

Wooyoung gulped but kept his gaze fierce on Hyunjin. "I actually feel bad for you. He's not perfect. And one day, he will find something better just like he did with me with that damn center. Don't let those damn innocent eyes fool you." He smirked.

Hyunjin pressed him harder into the door before shaking his head with an angry chuckle. "Fuck you. I don't even know why I'm wasting my breath. You showed him your true colors already, and at this point, I don't owe you shit anymore. Just leave him the fuck alone, or next time, I won't be stopping Jisung. I'll fucking be right there too." He dropped his grip on the collar and walked away, trying his best to contain the anger that was still boiling inside as he heard the sarcastic slurred laugh of the guy who once was his best friend.

The ride home to his own apartment was anything but peaceful. The sounds on the street were louder, the sun was brighter in the worst way, and he somehow felt like every stoplight was against him.

This was the time. The time that the cravings returned. He felt like he was back in his bedroom, covering his ears to try and drown out the sounds of his screaming parents as they fought about anything and everything. He was back in the car, drunk, listening to his girlfriend cry her eyes out begging him to stop doing the one thing that made life bearable. He was back to the night where he found out that the girl who only tried to love him into healing, was no longer alive to see where he is now.
