"Who do I nee-" Hyunjin started to joke back before the fiesty owner waved him off.
"No time for that now. I need to discuss something with you." Jeongin dismissed.
The hasty vibe and almost threatening words caused the artist to gulp his nerves down. "Okay..?"
Jeongin held his hand out, huffing and snatching Hyunjin's own when the artist just stared at it with confusion. "Be a fucking gentleman, jesus... who raised you?"
Hyunjin scoffed in offense and awkwardly danced with the gallery owner, keeping plenty of room for Jesus between them.
"Are you really that repulsed by me?" Jeongin laughed in disbelief.
"Sorry.." Hyunjin grumbled. "I'm just not a very touchy person..." he shrugged, earning a brow raise to which he sighed. "Felix is different." He rolled his eyes, preparing his pride for the teasing that was sure to come his way.
Jeongin smirked at him and patted his chest. "Of cour-"
"Point is.." the artist continued to end his suffering. "It's not you, it's me." He stated dramatically. "Now, what is this thing you need to discuss with me?" He huffed impatiently.
"Fine, fine. I can see why Minho calls you Casa-" Jeongin teased further with a chuckle.
"Innie!"
"Okay!" The owner's laugh turned hearty. "I got a phone call from Marina." He officially started once his laughter subsided.
"Okay..?"
"She told me she had a buyer for one of your paintings." Jeongin continued.
"Oh! Well, congrats, Innie, that's great." The artist beamed with a smile.
Jeongin sighed and his expression turned down. "No.. it's not. It's the beach painting." He explained, his gaze shifting briefly to the blond beauty now dancing with his best friend and brother on the other side of the bonfire.
Hyunjin gave the guilty looking gallery owner a sympathetic smile. "That's how the art world works, Innie. Felix will understand. He knew this could happen when he sold it to you." He reassured.
"It just feels shady.. I know I upped the amount I paid for it, but it's nothing compared to what I could sell it for. It me-" Jeongin continued his soap box.
"That is just how business works." Hyunjin shrugged his shoulders. "If you're looking for a reason not to sell it, then you asked to dance with the wrong person. If you are looking for permission, then it's not mine to give. So why did you come to me?" Hyunjin urged more intently.
The owner dropped his shoulders with a huff. "I don't know.. I knew Felix would never ask me not to sell it, so I was hoping you would." He sighed in disappointment that his plan didn't work.
"Exactly. So go ahead. Selling the painting to you meant that Felix could get rid of the thing stopping him from continuing his life. He got what he needed.. so do what you need to do for the gallery. I'm sure he will appreciate that it was hand picked by a fancy art lover." The artist urged one more time with finality and a soft smile.
Jeongin pursed his lips and nodded his head. "Alright... now I do need to talk to you and Felix together.." he chuckled sheepishly.
Hyunjin responded with the 'are you serious?' face. "Really? You couldn't have started with that part?" He sassed.
"Heh! It was too much fun to see you both all jealous.." the owner mused back with a purposefully mischievous chuckle and a playful menace look... much too reminiscent of Minho. He ushered Felix back over and smiled as he approached with a suspicious look in his eye.
