Just when Jisung was calmed down almost completely and the last of the tears started to dry, a pounding on the door caused his heart to beat out of his chest once again.
Hyunjin huffed in annoyance and made his way over to the door, opening it to reveal a frantic Minho that immediately rushed past him into the apartment.
"He was calm until you decided to try knocking down my door." He sassed.
Minho glared back at him and clicked his tongue before kneeling down in front of Jisung and softening his expression.
Hyunjin would be lying if he said the sight itself didn't warm his heart. It was still strange to see Minho's soft side, but he knew that there was a reason he was more of an asshole when it came to Jisung and Felix. He just really loved them.
"Hannie.." the dancer started carefully, holding the younger's cheeks in his hands and forcing him to look into his eyes as he took some deep breaths.
Jisung followed the pace of breathing as more tears escaped his eyes.
"You d-did it?" He asked out shakily when he was calmer.
Minho smiled proudly and nodded his head. "I did." He sat down on the couch and pulled his fiancé onto his lap, letting him bear hug for comfort. "We're gonna be fine, Jagiya. I'm gonna start my classes, you and Lix are going to spread your sunshine for years to come, we are going to get married, and eventually have a little family of our own." He cooed softly into the younger's shoulder.
Hyunjin grabbed his coat and walked towards the door. "I'll give you guys a minute." He stated sweetly before opening it and leaving the two alone.
"But what if we don't get funding..?" Jisung countered with the same shaky voice.
"That's not gonna happen." Minho stated confidently. "You wanna know why?" He made Jisung look at him. "You are too stubborn when it comes to things you care about to accept a no, and Lix is too sweet to say no to." He urged challengingly.
Jisung let himself chuckle quietly before laying himself back down. "I don't think the city budget cares how stubborn I am or how sweet Lix is." He laughed painfully.
Minho huffed. "Pfft. I would beg to differ."
Jisung sighed and looked at him intently. "Seriously, Min. What the hell do I do if we can't make it happen? What happens to your studio if we shut down?" He asked with increased panic.
Minho took a couple of deep breaths, forcing Jisung to follow along. "In the impossible scenario where that would happen, then we go to plan B." He urged with the same unwavering confidence.
"P-plan B?"
"You and Lix will be just fine. You created the entire center out of nothing but a couple of energy drinks, some all nighters, and your charming ways. Think about all you have done in the past year. IF the center can't get funding from the city.. it won't be due to a lack of impact. I know you and that brain of yours will find a way to get back to it." He playfully tapped his fiancé's forehead. "As for me.. as much as I love the studio in the center, the kids are working with me.. not the location. I simply find another small space to rent for the time being. I have savings. I already finished school, which means that I can teach regardless." Minho explained reassuringly. "And as for us.." He lifted Jisung's hand with the ring and held it up between them. "We are going to get married regardless of what happens. We are going to figure our lives out together and see where it takes us."
Jisung took in a shaky sharp breath and released the last of his panic through tears. "Do you promise?"
"If I thought there was a possible future without you in it, I wouldn't have proposed Hannie. I also know for a fact that somehow.. someway.. you and Lix will put the center on the map. Tonight is not the end even if they say no." He urged more sternly, wiping the younger's tears away.
