"Mornin' everybody!" Jeongin cheered from the entrance of the gates. "I come baring gifts!" He wiggled his brows.
"You're awfully chipper this morning." Jisung mused mischievously.
"I may or may not have a date in a few hours." The gallery owner shrugged back with a knowing smile.
Jisung's smirk widened. "Oh? Could it be a certain chef I introdu-"
"Felix! I can't stay long." He interrupted to dodge the question, leaving Jisung with a dropped jaw in dramatic offense.
"Fine. I guess I'll just have to take that as a yes, then." The chubby cheeked one shrugged, glancing up immediately after to see if he could catch Jeongin in any clues dropped, only to be disappointed when he saw none. He formed a pout, to which the gallery owner did smirk.
"I think you should." Jeongin ended up hinting, taking pity on the sad eyes.
Jisung beamed a happy smile and puffed his chest with pride.
"Gifts?" Felix asked with piqued interest as he joined the group with Hyunjin in tow behind him, who expectantly couldn't keep his hands to himself and immediately wrapped himself around his boyfriend.
"Hm?" Jeongin tilted his head questioningly like a puppy, too lost in the whiplash from seeing how clingy Hyunjin was with Felix when he was so against even touching him the night before.
When the words processed he beamed a happy smile and held his hands up. "Oh! Yes!" He handed Felix and Jisung the packet of papers for the grant application and reached his hand out to pass the envelope to Hyunjin. "That one is for both you and Lix but he has his hands full." He snickered, the mischievous glint in his eyes being met with a shrug from Felix.
"If it can help out the center it's worth it. Our blood sweat and tears is in that place, what more is a couple calluses." He responded genuinely.
Jisung took the packet of papers for himself and nudged Felix toward the artist impatiently. "I wanna know what it is!" He whined as if the gift was for him.
Felix laughed at the theatrics and followed the not so subtle order, his own curiosity taking over with every second passed.
They opened the envelope painfully slowly, ultimately building the suspense. Even Jeongin, who knew exactly what they were about to see, had a hard time containing his excitement.
Hyunjin and Felix's eyes both widened as their gazes shot to the gallery owner, who looked like he was about to burst.
"Wh.. huh?" They asked simultaneously, taking the small piece of paper completely out and scanning over it countless times.
"What is this?!" Hyunjin gasped out.
"Mingi Song?" Felix asked with furrowed brows. "It's made out to the center.. Innie what is this?" He asked as he passed it to Jisung, who quickly followed suit with widening his eyes, eventually managing to pull Minho in too.
"One of my long standing guests loved the beach painting and wanted to buy it. It didn't feel right to profit off of something I know you never wanted to part with and I knew you wouldn't have accepted the money if I gave it to you.. so I thought of another option. I had the buyer make the payment out to the center instead." Jeongin explained genuinely.
"Damn Hyunjin! I'll never feel bad for accepting anything from you if this is what you make!" Jisung scoffed, still looking at the check in shock.
"I don't make that much.." Hyunjin refuted. It was directed at Jisung but his gaze remained unbroken on Jeongin as if he was looking for further explanation.
