A/N: double upload because this is bit of a side chapter and I don't want those who are uncomfortable with reading to wait too long for the next. I'm putting it in the beginning this time. Huge DISCLAIMER/TRIGGER WARNING. This chapter will cover the subject of suicide and language relating to it. If it is not within your best interest to read it, then please skip the flashback portion. I will announce when it ends if you just want to read the present reactions. I love you all and please take care of yourselves ❤️

It was close to one in the morning by the time that the artist and his Angel got back into the car and took the mostly quiet drive back.
Hyunjin spent most of the time letting his eyes wander between Felix's concentrated focus on the road and the remaining firework blasts, although those were starting to become few and far between at this point... so far between that his mind started to wander, too.
What Wooyoung told him was true. There was so much about his past that is just a blur. He remembers the general feelings of emptiness.. but his actions during that time.. was one aspect that he didnt really remember until now. With Minho and the proposal and Felix.. it was something that kind of disappeared into the back of his mind. But now he has the time to think, and it all came rushing back. Specifically.. the memories of that night..
Flashback
Hyunjin clenched the report in his hand, stopping momentarily in front of his house with a huff. He was annoyed.. felt like a child, really. He was fifteen years old and had to get his mom's signature on a failing grade as if he was five. All of this because of some teacher's concern that he was 'falling behind'. If that was the concern, why not just call her? Or how about getting the counselor involved? But hey, I guess hindsight is 2020 right?
He opened up the door and immediately heard his mom's voice from what seemed to be the kitchen.
"Mom, I-"
He stopped mid sentence seeing his mom peek her head around the corner and put her finger up. She walked into her bedroom, closing the door behind her.
Hyunjin furrowed his brows in confusion and put his bag down, walking over to the kitchen and pausing by the fridge as he heard his mom's voice.
"- you mean it's your right to see him?"
He walked closer to the door leaned against the wall with an orange in hand.
"Sorry to break it to you, Lee, but you gave up that right when you made him lie for you."
Hyunjin scoffed and rolled his eyes, picking his bag right back up and walking out to the door. This argument is not new, it's one that his mom had been making since she found out about the affair. Right now he just didn't want to hear it.

By the time he made it to their spot in the woods, Wooyoung was already seated on the bench, his arms spread over the top of it and his head dropped all the way back to look at the sky.
Hyunjin tried to sneak up on him but was betrayed by own weight when a stick broke underneath him, causing the older to snap his head up and paint a smirk on his face.
