Nearly Killed Me

The ride to the gallery was silent. Felix was resting his head on Hyunjin's shoulder, thankful that he decided against makeup this time so he didn't have to worry about dirtying the artist's shirt.

"What did you say the gallery owner's name was again?" Jisung asked in attempt to put an end to the awkward tension in the car. He couldn't take it.. the whole vibe was starting to make him nervous and fidget.

"Jeongin Yang. His mom owns a different gallery on the other side of town." Felix informed neutrally. He was looking out of the window at the scenery around them.

Sure, he loved being on the bike and would honestly pick it any day... but another part of him kind of wanted to take a trip down memory lane. This is not the way they went the last time they visited the gallery, and Felix was looking forward to experiencing the drive when he wasn't scared out of his mind.

"Will you guys just make up already?!" Jisung ended up blurting through the car in a pleading manner. "This is our first double date and I don't want any drama... please?" He begged with puppy eyes, looking between the two Lee brothers.

Minho looked through the rear view mirror at his brother, who looked back at him, meeting his gaze in the small reflective surface.

Felix could see the softness in Minho's eyes. He wasn't angry anymore, and he did feel bad for bringing his dad into this.. he just didn't really know how to express his own selfish reasons for wanting to take the bike. It wasn't really something he wanted to share anyway, it was special... just between him and Hyunjin.

He sighed in defeat and raised his body up, leaning forward and hugging his brother's arm, who quickly glanced down at him and huffed his own sigh of defeat.

"I'm sorry, Min. I shouldn't have brought that up." Felix cooed with puppy eyes. It may have been dramatic... but it was genuine.

"I guess I went overboard a bit.." Minho grumbled in return begrudgingly.

Jisung smiled at both of them gratefully and ran his hand through Felix's hair to fix it up with the angle he held. When the younger sat back against the seat, Jisung grabbed the dancer's hand and rubbed it gratefully.

Because they took the highways, it only took about twenty minutes to get there instead of the thirty minutes it took on the bike.

When they pulled up to the gallery, Felix smiled softly and felt a slight blush cover his cheeks. The memories finally came back and his heart swelled.

Minho parked the car and got out, walking to the passenger's side to open up the door for his date shortly after.

Hyunjin held the door open, waiting for the younger to get out. He leaned his head into the car when he noticed Felix still unmoving on the seat.

"Angel?"

He reached his hand in and used it to turn the younger's head to face him.

"Are you lost in thought again?" He cooed softly.

Felix's smile brightened and he grabbed the older's hand, massaging it as he looked down at it. It was something that quickly became a habit.

"The last time I was here, I finally had the courage to kiss you." Felix giggled out.

Hyunjin returned a sweet smile and chuckled softly with endearment.

"I remember. You nearly killed me with that." He laughed lightly, his eyes soft and genuine.

Felix scoffed and sighed. "Don't be dramatic." He teased.

Hyunjin raised his brow and knelt down to be at the same height. "I wasn't being dramatic. I swear my heart almost left my body." He urged.
