Hyunjin saw the color drain from Felix's face as he grabbed onto his stomach.

"Ange-"

Before he could finish his sentence, the younger ran toward the bathroom and threw the door shut behind him.

"Shit.." the artist cursed under his breath in a panic, grabbing the glass of soda he just poured and rushing behind Felix. He tried to open the door to realize it was locked. All he could hear from the other side of the door were strained coughs.

He rested his forehead on the door that separated them and sighed in worry. He wanted to respect Felix's wishes to let him jump, especially when it came to his feeling of independence and finding himself.. but he also knew how intense therapy could be, especially in the beginning when you have to face all of the shit that you had been avoiding for a reason. His biggest fear right now.. was that Felix was falling with no way to catch him.

The coughing subsided after a couple of seconds and was replaced with the soft sound of sniffles.

"Angel.. please open the door.." Hyunjin pleaded softly.

It took a couple of seconds of torturous silence for Felix to softly clear his throat and the door to unlock.

Hyunjin could hear him shuffle away, leaving the door closed. Carefully, he turned the handle and pushed the door open just a crack.

Felix was sitting on the edge of the bathtub with tears on his red cheeks and his hands shaking in his lap. He sniffed but kept his eyes directed at the ground.

Hyunjin sighed with sympathy and rushed over, kneeling down in front of him and cupping his cheek with his hand, rubbing the tears dry. "What happened..?" He whispered softly.

"I didn't throw up..." the younger stated in a shaky and weak voice, moving his face away from Hyunjin's hand. "There wasn't anything to get rid of.." He admitted guiltily, rubbing his nose.

The artist dropped his hand back to his side and placed the glass of soda in Felix's shaky one, biting back the panic that arose with the way the liquid almost spilled by the intensity of his trembling.

"Please drink it, love. You need the sugar." Hyunjin pleaded, bringing Felix's hand with the glass up to his lips.

The younger took a small sip and coughed lightly, his stomach still in complete knots.

"I'm sorry.." Felix eventually let out in the same small sounding voice.

"For what, Angel?" Hyunjin asked with sympathy, not entering the younger's space but also not moving away from his position.

"You have been so focused on me and trying to stop me from falling apart that you stopped painting.." Felix admitted softly, another set of tears spilling from his eyes.

Hyunjin furrowed his brows in confusion for a second before they raised and his eyes softened. He let out a sigh, throwing all restraint out the window and cupping Felix's face once again, tilting his gaze up to look him in the eye. "Is that what you think?" He asked in genuine surprise.

Felix chuckled darkly. "Think? Hyunjin, let's face it. You were perfectly fine and thriving as an artist until I got sick. What else happened when I got sick? We started to spend more time together. You started taking care of me. And now that we are on a pause is the first time I have seen you paint in weeks." He argued sadly, trying to turn his face away in shame.

"Nope, look at me." Hyunjin ordered sternly with care in his voice. He wasn't mad. If anything, the idea alone broke his heart. It was true. He did stop painting for himself, but he didn't realize why until Felix made him realize the true reason.
