Chapter 47 - "Sun Stroke and FaceTime..."
Clara's PoV
'Okay so I overdid it' I hummed resting my head on the bathroom toilet seat.
'Just a little' he smirked standing at the door and looking in as I spat back in the toilet again.
If I wasn't on it - I was spitting in it.
'Ugh. Maybe I over did it a lot?' I suggested spitting once more time. 'I might stay indoors today?' I spluttered.
'Yeah... Maybe that will be for the best?' He said rolling his eyes as I followed him out of the bathroom 10 minutes later feeling like I finally distance myself from the toilet only to find that he was dressed in the most ridiculous yet attractive outfit ever.
'What are you wearing?' I groaned crawling straight on the sofa and curling up as John - no doubt - took a little glare up my pyjama shorts.
'My whites?'
'What are your whites?' I complained.
'I'm going golfing' he said in white skinny jeans like some kind of woman, a white shirt and a green turtle neck jumper then topped it off with white trainers and a green and yellow checked hat on his head.
He looked annoyingly cute.
'Golfing? Well thanks for inviting me?'
'You'd hate golfing' he scoffed. 'Look I've been trying to look for a hobby that might help me to relax a little and so I figured that I would see if it would work? What better time than now?' Be asked obviously looking for my permission
'You don't need my permission John. If you want to go golfing that's a good idea but I think I'll stay here and wallow in my own self pity' I huffed hugging a pillow and hoping that he might feel guilty and want to stay but then I'd feel bad when he just wanted some time away from me.

'So have you got all 6 kids today?' I hummed.
'This is the lowest form of whit Clara' Lilly scoffed. 'Yes I have everyone. They're all present and correct' she mumbled.
'Good'
'Where's John?'
'He's gone golfing. I never even knew that he was in to golfing but if that's what they want to do and that's what will help him then who am I to argue?'
'Golfing? Oh god don't tell Richard that. He'll want to join in' Lilly said rolling her eyes.
'Yeah what is happening there? Cause last I heard you two were jumping into bed together yet you still seem to hate each other?'
'Like last night you mean?' She huffed as I widened my eyes but wasn't at all surprised.
'Oh Lilly' I laughed and she scoffed but with a small smile. 'It's what you want isn't it? You want Richard. I can tell you both want each other because neither of you are brave enough to ask the other for a divorce' I pointed out as she hummed and then she pointed out that I was looking a bit white.
Which I was.
Because I spent the best part of the afternoon on the sofa wallowing in my own self pity.

'I'm sorry' I said as John pushed all his white golfing clothes in the washing machine and tried to work out how to use the strange smelling powder.
'It's okay' he assured but I didn't feel like it was okay. I had projectiled on his golfing clothes as soon as he came in.
'You just took me by surprise thats all' I defended. 'You know with the fact that you woke me up?'
'And you took me by surprised by projectile vomiting all over me - but hey - it's fine' he laughed.
He was really cute when he came in. He had come in and kissed my forehead but when he stood up he was too late because he was in line of my vomiting. It was sort of impromptu and I couldn't control it.
'It's fine. Really. I don't like it when your sick' he pouted. 'I don't like not getting to spend time with you' he sighed, stepping closer now just in his boxers and shirtless.
He kissed my forehead and took my hand. 'Come on, let's go and put you to bed'
'I'm not a kid' I mumbled.
'Kids don't hit the bucket' he smirked leading me to the bedroom where I just collapsed down on the bed.
'I don't even feel sick anymore. I'm just exhausted now' I hummed as he thankfully ignored his phone for a second and laid down on the bed next to me which all owed me to cuddle up to him and rest my head on his chest which ultimately did make me feel better. 'Sorry I never asked - how was your game of golf?'
'It was quite exhilarating really. Definitely something I'll consider again' he shrugged. 'Maybe I'll join a health club when I get home. Then I can use the gym, swimming pool facilities and go golfing'
'You want to join a health club? Are you kidding?' I hummed resting on his chest.
'Yeah. It was quite nice. I think I could use it to my advantage. Game of golf on a Sunday morning and then hit up a quick swim before swinging by the stables to pick up the girls getting home at about 1 o'clock just in time for you and Henry to have rolled out of bed.
That was pretty accurate actually.
Henry and I were the worst when it came to sleeping in.
If you ever wanted to know where Henry was - he would be in bed.
We had to practically force him to stop taking naps because he's the only kid I know that actually enjoyed taking them.
'Charming. Anyway I don't sleep in that late' I pouted.
'Oh Hun you do' he laughed at my face which he just loves.
He's previously admitted the pout turns him on big time but not happening right now.
'I would kiss you to make you feel better but you need to brush your teeth first'
'You just had my vomit on you and your worried about bad breath?'
'It's one thing to have it on me - but to taste it is a bit much'
