Good news I'm very close to publishing book 4 as this book is almost ready to round up in about 10 chapters or so.

Also on another note I've been toying with this image as the next cover? Any ideas? I just think this is how they would look as a cute family? I dunno maybe I need to see daylight more?

Chapter 172 - "Driving Race..."

Clara's PoV

'Come on Clara just answer the damn phone' John scoffed.

He didn't believe that he was that far behind Clara. He couldn't possibly be.

She could have only got a 10 if not 15 minute head start on him. Otherwise she shouldn't be that far ahead of him.

He was continually ringing and ringing with no bloody answer and didn't know what to do.

He didn't want the new born to be stuck in the back of the car for three hours whilst Clara wasn't thinking straight but that's what it looked like was going to happen if she didn't answer the phone because he was never going to fricken get through.

He knew she was only doing what she thought was right - raving down to see her Gran and Dad but if the woman was dead was there any point?

He was zoned out into his own thoughts when he spotted a very familiar looking license plate ahead of him and decided to put his toe down.

'John? This really isn't the time' Clara mumbled when she picked up on the eighth phone call.

The noise of her phone was driving her Fucking crazy. Plus the fact she had spotted that he had over taken her twice in the motorway as of far but she had then re over taken him so he didn't get too cocky.

'Well it's about bloody time you answered that thing. Any other time it doesn't leave your hand and the one day I need you to pick up you don't' John scoffed rudely.

'John-- I need to get to Blackpool'

I know that but you have to stop'

'No I need to get to black pool'

'You can only have a 10 minute head start on me - 15 minutes at most' he growled impatiently. 'You could have bloody waited... no you should have waited'

'Maybe but I need to--'

'What are you playing at seriously? You cannot put a newborn in a car for more than an hour at a time. He might choke Clara. And your car is not equipped out yet to have him in the back of the car on his own' John scoffed.

Clara had to admit that she hadn't even thought that one through.

John had attached the mechanism to the car but he hadn't finished the safety features and hadn't put the mirrors in. It was totally dangerous.

'Were you planning on stopping?'

'No. I want to get there as soon as' Clara mumbled not really thinking rationally at all.

She hadn't even spoken to or called her Dad yet - everything could be over by now. The only information that she had was from Mrs Pegget and she was an old bag who didn't know what she was doing.

'Clara your going to have to stop at the next services. There's one in 10 miles. Please get off. That way I can stay with Harry and come down with him after he has had a break and a feed from the car'

'You can't feed him. I didn't bring any bottles' She mumbled.

'Well it's a good bloody job that I did pick up some bottles then isn't it?' John snapped annoyed that he was the only one hat was organised.

He completely understood that Clara was in a bad place right now but that doesn't justify her stupidity regarding their three week old son.

'I can hear him crying. He's distressed' John grumbled sadly.

'Alright. Alright I'll pull up at the next services but if your any more than 10 minutes behind me then I'm driving away' Clara said in a threat which did make John put his toe down a little.

'Where's Mummy?' Poppy asked as Richard held her hand in the car park of the ballet studio.

He had gone to pick Poppy up as everyone had pretty much forgotten about her and the dance teacher rang out of concern.

Richard and John could only apologise but she was pretty understanding when John explained the situation.

What was harder to explain was to Julie and Jack. They were miserable farts and John New that he didn't want to bring up the mention of death because he really could do without thinking of the whole Lucie thing today.

'She's and daddy have gone to see Grandad and Great Grandma theta' Richard explained lifting her up not sure what else to say.

She's 5.

'Have you even spoken to your Dad?'

'No'

'Then you don't even know what's going on?'

'No' I responded as I watched John feed Harry the bottle.

He had instantly grabbed the baby and pulled him out of the car seat and glared at me like I was a terrible and bad mother for wanting to do this. He then proceeded to get the milk warmed up when I said I would feed him but he knew I wouldn't.

I won't feed him in public which is why I carry the bottles because I like to express it for him.

'Listen I need to hit the road. You go home with Harry. He should be at home and you should be worn the kids' I huffed standing up but he grabbed my hand.

'No. your going to go ahead but me and Harry will follow after you. We're half way now we might as well come instead of subjecting Harry to the drive home and a possibly drive up again. Anyway we haven't got enough expressed bottles to be at home. Plus four going to need my support. I don't want you on your own and you don't even have anywhere go stay'
