Chapter 119 - "Museum Day Trip..."
Clara's PoV
'Stay together. Nobody is to wander away from their group' I shouted as we got into the museum and the kids split up almost instantly.
They all went off in their groups.
Thankfully we had dished out a school mobile number.
We weren't giving out personal numbers mainly because I could see one of the kids phoning me at three in the morning to be idiots - of course Avia had my personal number but that wasn't the point.
'Oh let them have their fun' Adrian laughed as we took up residence at a small table.
'There's fun and then there's dangerous. None of them can speak French' I pointed out. 'It's not like we're in London right now... we're in another fricken country' I mumbled concerned.
'Neither can you' Adrian mumbled.
'Hmm. That's true actually' I hummed as my phone rang. 'It's the other half. I'd better take this' I said standing up and abandoning Adrian almost instantly.
'Hey. How's it going? What you up too?' John asked.
'Camping and museum trips with 10 and 11 year olds. What can I say? It's as fun as you make it?' I mumbled. 'You?'
'Keeping them entertained' he laughed. 'Schools shut. It's snowing'
'Snowing? It's Easter? It's bloody April for goodness sake' I complained aware of the horrible weather since it wasn't its warmest here in France either. Even were layered up for December.
'It's also Britain so you shouldn't be surprised' he laughed with an eye roll as I stopped dead in my tracks. 'Listen John I've got to go. I'll call you when we're back at the cabins later and the kids are on free time' I mumbled, instantly clutching my stomach.
'Ok-ay' he mumbled in confusion.
It was small. Barely even noticeable unless you've been pregnant before - but my little nugget was moving.
Not so much kicking - just making itself known.
'That was a quick phone call?' Adrian asked questioningly.
'Yeah. I think the baby might have started kicking?'
'Wow. That's awesome? But you don't seem happy?'
'It just means that I'm closer to potentially loosing it again'
'You don't know that' Adrian scoffed.
'Kicking just makes it way more real and I really would rather not get John all excited yet'

'So I um... I bumped into Finn in McDonald's' John mumbled just making sure that Richard was over everything.
He wasn't 100% sure if he should tell Richard but then his conscience told him that from recent events with Clara and lilly and Richard that he'll find out anyway. So it was just best to do it.
He was still waiting for Clara to admit to him that she had seen Danny pink since he had moved away.
Obviously Lilly hadn't told him he had overheard everything from their conversation.
'Henry you do not need another chocolate egg' John shouted as the boys were fighting over who got to eat the egg.
'Let him eat it John. He needs the fat' Richard laughed. They had bought the kids to a play centre up the road which was hosting an Easter egg hunt everyday and since the school was shut for snow and the kids were officially on the Easter holidays - it was a good plan.
'You didn't say anything about the whole brother thing' John hummed just casually bringing it up into conversation.
'Because I'm trying to ignore him' Richard scoffed.
'You must have had contact with him in the last 15 years because he knew that Evie was his niece. He approached her' John scoffed.
'What?' Richard growled.
'You must have had some contact Richard. He knew who Evie was. How?' John hummed.
Richard didn't know about Evie himself until two years ago - so John knew he had to have had contact with him in the last two years at least.
He did feel like if there was someone who was stalking Evie that he needed to be the one to know about it.
'Yes I've had contact. He still maintains that he didn't do what he did. But my sister died John. She was 4 and Finn was 21 years older than us. I can't believe he's still alive really' Richard snapped.
It was rarely known to anyone that Richard was a twin. Not even Clara. The chances of Evie having being a twin would have been high if Clara had known.
Although Clara won't be happy that Richards brother is hanging around.
'So if he was 21 when you was born and your going to be 35 in June... he must be...?
'56. I do know. That's what I'm saying. I figured he would just rot in prison. The worst thing is that his daughter is practically my age. She was 4 and a half years younger than us. It could have easily been her' Richard growled.
'You had any contact with her?'
'No. She came to America when we did when I was 5. She was put up for adoption out there and we never heard from her again'
'Ever thought about trying to find her again?'
'Yeah of course I have but where the hell would I start?''We could do it on the internet? Facebook is always a good place to start. She might have a family of her own'
'And she might have mo idea who the hell I am. And mum wouldn't like me getting in involved'
'Your Mum is exactly the person who is taking your pig of a brother in' John explained.
'Huh?'
'Finn said he was going to America? Fuck knows how because you can't go to America with a criminal record but I suppose he can do what he wants with an American passport'
'I don't want anything to do with him' Richard scoffed. 'And you can't tell Clara. She'll just freak out that Evie's in danger'
'She is. John panicked'
'She's not. I promise. Because she's not going to be left alone' Richard snapped.
