Chapter 96 - "Walking Away..."
Clara's PoV
'John? John where the Fuck are you going?' Richard yelled in a catch 22.
He had no bloody idea what John could get up to on his own. But he didn't and couldn't leave the kids. Not on their own.
So he did the only thing he could think of.
He got the men to call an ambulance and waited next to Evie sat cross legged on the crunchy leaves and called Lilly in a panic.
She was in and out of fitting for quite some time and it made Richard really wonder how and why the fitting had come about?
She hadn't had a proper fit like this in so long that Richard was confused as hell.
He did however stay right next to Evie until the fitting stopped completely for a moment before going to check that the boys were okay.

'It's alright. I'm here' Richard assured Evie as she came around in a daze.
Richard had moved her so she was on her side to vomit if she needed to.
Realistically he needed to get Evie up off the cold ground and into the car or something just to make sure she wasn't getting more sick than she needed to be.
It might have been January but it wasn't warm at all which meant she could have been freezing.
Of course her blood was running with adrenaline from the fit so actually she probably wasn't all that cold.
'Richard?' Lilly yelled as the ambulance arrived at around the same time as her. She had jumped from the car quickly in an attempt to get to her husband majorly concerned about him rather than anything else.
It was quite useful that the ambulance had turned up quickly because Evie needed medical attention no matter what anyone said. Richard knew when something wasn't quite right and this was it.
'Where's John? Did he go ahead or something?' Lilly asked crouching down confused why he would go anywhere and why he would go anywhere without the kids.
'Nope. He just walked off lil. I'm worried. He's gone off on his own and is just wandering the road. He's Fucking exhausted. I mean so much so that he could collapse into sleep at any second'
'It's alright. Your just stressed' Lilly comforted.
'No. He's stressed. His kid is in the hospital with cancer and his other kid is now on her way to the hospital as a patient as well' Richard snapped standing up. 'Stay with the kids and go to the hospital. Hold off on calling Clara just for a second'
'No. You stay and I'll go and find John. If anything is needed about Evie your her biological father. You have rights. We might be able to get away with all of this without even telling Clara?'
'Are you joking. There's two massive blabber mouth three year olds in the car. Trust me - we aren't getting away with this' Richard mumbled.
'I'll go and find John I promise' Lilly hummed knowing he wouldn't have gone too far without what sounds like passing out.

'What the hell is wrong with you? You can't just keep walking away in serious situations like this' Lilly yelled as she found John sitting under a tree deep in the forest but not too far.
He had heard the ambulance arrive so he knew that Evie was gone and that she was okay.
'John your an idiot. Your 35 Fucking years old. You must surly know by now that you can't just walk out on situations like that' Lilly yelled at him.
'I just needed 5 minutes okay'
'5 minutes might have killed Evie' Lilly snapped.
'But it didn't though did it? Richards got this under control'
'He's got no idea what he's going... you have always dealt with the fitting. It's never something richard has had first hand experience with, with Evie'
'Eh. It's not hard. She fits for a few minutes and then you clean up her sick...'
'She hasn't been fitting for just a few minutes John. It's been like 15. This is a big one. Don't know what caused it but the paramedics think she must have been exposed to some flashing lights or something. Any ideas?' Lilly asked.
'She was exposed to strobe lightning at the weekend but it wouldn't have taken this long to take effect... f would have been pretty much instant' John explained as best he could.
'Anyway... Under control or not... You still can't just walk away John? What the hell has gotten into you?'
'Poppy threw me out okay? She didn't want me. She didn't need me and I'm her biological father. I'm not even biologically related to Evie and she was ill. So she was hardly going to want me'
'Oh man up and stop feeling so sorry for yourself. Poppy didn't want you because she wanted Clara for this specific thin. She had the right. There will be things in the future that she'll choose you over Clara for. Get over it' Lilly hummed.
'Lil--?'
'No. Do not lil me. Your a liability. You don't deserve children at the moment. You can't even give yourself some decent sleep'
'She needed her Dad' John disagreed.
'Yeah she did. And her Dad is sitting here' Lilly snapped storming away as John stood up but unfortunately John hadn't eaten in over 48 hours. He had barely had a drink recently and donated blood 12 hours ago.
He really wasn't in the right frame of mind to be doing anything, so he stood up quickly with a rush of what blood he had left to the head and collapsed passing out from extreme exhaustion, malnourishment and dehydration back on the path again.
He was a total mess... As was the whole bloody family.

'So. How do you fancy a little walk today? We could go and play in the play room?' I suggested doing my best to bring Poppy something to smile about.
It didn't work.
'I want to see Daddy'
'Poppy you can't just pick and choose like this. You either want me here all the time or you want Daddy. You can't have both. I'm sorry that you can't but it just isn't practical' I explained.
'But I want daddy?'
'Well daddy is at home looking after your brother and sisters. Maybe he'll come and see you in a few days?' I suggested as my phone began ringing.
