Chapter 156 - "Crowding..."
Clara's PoV
'You ready to face this?'
'Face what?' I scoffed.
'Okay... Little pre warning... There is a lot of people in our house right now who just wouldn't wait to come and visit' he hummed.
'Meaning?' I growled.
'Well all the kids are there including Lilly, Richard and Ollie. Plus your Dad and Linda. Then Ryan and Mark with their girls are here?'
'Oh crikey' I whined sinking in my seat. I can barely stand and you expect me to socialise and chat to all these people?'
'They just want to see the baby' he said with a smile as we pulled up at the front door and Poppy was straight out of the car and bolted through the front door.
She was very happy that she got to drive in the car in her car seat in the front seat because I had to sit in the back with all the bags and Harry.
I wasn't allowed to drive and when there is only a few of us - we tend to just swap to my car because it's smaller. We couldn't get everyone in my car together through like we can in the family car. And then John has his two seater sports car thingy that he uses for work which they all enjoy having a drive in every now and then.
They all know that when they go somewhere alone with John they he'll take them in his car.
'Do I have to come in? Can't I just take a nap in the car whilst you go in and parade the baby around and then I'll come out once everyone is gone... Mainly my father and Linda.
Actually mainly Linda. I do not need her being rude about another one of my kids.
'Nice try. Now get up' he scoffed, as he slammed the car door and grabbed Harry from the back before opening the passenger seat and assisting me out.
I was in excruciating pain even with the pain medication and others that I was on but as the stuff from the hospital was starting to wear off - of was becoming worse.
'Brace yourself. They've gone all out' John hummed kissing my forehead and opening the front door where I witnessed my hallway had exploded completely into blue balloons, blue banners and teddies everywhere.
'Mummy your home' Evie grinned running towards me but ran straight past me - thank god - and went straight for the baby seat.
I just trudged my way towards the kitchen to put the kettle on where I was cornered by Lilly who was sat in there waiting at the kitchen table.
'Your back? Wow that was quick. I thought you'd be hours yet?' Lilly hummed standing up and hugging me.
'Please lil. All I need is a good cup of tea and a good nights sleep in my own bed' I whined. 'If your looking for the baby... Well John's got him' I laughed in pain.
'I'm so annoyed that it was a boy. I owe Richard 20 quid now. And Evie' she said rolling her eyes and running past.
'Nice to know you were all pitting money on my pain' I yelled sarcastically.
'What are you shouting about in here?' Dad said as I groaned and gripped to the counter where I couldn't be asked to fight the pain for a mug from the top shelf and just turned to look at him.
'Oh nothing. Just those idiots betting on what gender my damn baby might be' I gritted in tears.
'John. You've got an over emotional wife in here. You'd better come and deal with her' dad shouted looking for a scape goat but to be quite frank I'd rather be on my own.
What I wanted was a good shower and comfortable sleep. It would be the first sleep for 9 months where I could curl up into any position I liked and not have a kicking baby waking me up.
'What's wrong?' John said sympathetically.
'All I wanted was a bloody cup of tea' I whined, as the kettle flicked to indicate that it had been boiled and John laughed a small chuckle grabbing a cup from the cupboard.
He placed my favourite Mickey Mouse mug on the counter top and filled it until it was full, but didn't hand it to me - he just made me follow him.
'Here you go. All nice and snuggly for you' John smirked as he pointed into the guest bedroom that was in the basement.
'Huh?'
'I knew you wouldn't fancy walking up the stairs tonight so booked you in to hotel John. Your pyjamas and cosy socks are on the bed with some soft towels, the TV has some of your favourite programmes downloaded and I'll bring you some pizza down when it arrives. You've got the whole room to yourself. You don't even have to invite anyone else in if you don't want too' he chuckled.
I started weeping once again of course but it was justified this time.
'You didn't come home and sleep did you? You came home and organised it so that I could be comfortable? I love you so much do you know that?' I sniffed.
'I do know how much. We made this baby from how much I love you' he chuckled. 'I'll pop back down with the pizza once everyone is in bed and everybody has gone' he smirked. 'I'll bring Harry when he needs food'

I couldn't explain how nice it was to just be alone for 5 minutes. To have a warm shower and not be able to hear running around kids.
That was the best part about this guest room. It was sound proof and blocked out from the rest of the house and the rest of the world.
It was perfect for right now.
It was even better when I got myself all snuggled up into the bed, duvet around me and settled into the tv.
Only thing was that I was starting to miss my baby. So I texted John to bring him down.
And when he did he came alone. Just himself and Harry, and they snuggled up against me comfortably all night.
I knew that it was going to be difficult for the next few weeks because the kids were still on their Summer holidays so there would be no routine.
