Chapter 179 - "Overprotective, Embarrassing Parenting..."
Clara's PoV
'Hey' I smiled really happy to see John as he bent down to kiss me and then wandered towards where Henry was to help him build his sandcastle. 'Your earlier than I thought you'd be' I hummed.
'Got away earlier. That's it as well. The deals closed. I'm all yours' he smirked.
'For the next 7 days?'
'As long as there is no more crisis'... then yeah I'm all yours'
I watched as he helped tap the sandcastle and lift the bucket up and off then he helped put some stones on the top.
'Where are the girls?' He hummed as he stroked Harry's cheek and sat next to me properly allowing me to snuggle into him even though the was like 1000 degrees.
'Gone off with some kids'
'Do they know then?'
'No. they met some girls and have gone to play volleyball over there' I said pointing him in that direction.
'There's boys there?'
'Yeah I know' I hummed. I could tell he was about to say more when Poppy got impatient that he hadn't paid her any attention at all and hoisted herself directly into his lap.
'Can we go and play in the sea? Mummy would t letted me until you camed' Poppy pouted.
'Umm - Sure. Come on then' he said picking her up and hoisting the 5 year old onto his waist.
She was still very light weighing post chemo so it meant that she was easily carry-able.
'Mummy will you come too?'
'I can't Hun. I've got to stay with the baby'
'I hate the baby' she mumbled into John's neck as we chose to ignore the comment.
She wasn't very happy about the baby which was weird because it obviously wasn't the first time that she had been a big sister.
When Henry was born however she was only 18 months old? She was very unlikely to have been that jealous back then.
The best thing was that Harry wasn't even taking up all of John's time and she was very close to John so if he was that would be understandable but at the moment he spends all his time with me.
If anything there should be no jealousy involved.

'Come on Daddy. I want to go in the sea' Poppy scoffed unhappy that John had stopped half way.
'Alright. Be patient. I just want to go and check on your sisters' he hummed leading the pair of them that way and smiled at them.
Avia was distraught that John had come to get involved.
'Dad what are you doing here?' Avia growled.
'Dad? Since when did you call me Dad?' John huffed.
'Since now' she complained giving him eyes.
'Is this your Dad?' One girl asked who waved to John politely but he knew that the polite ones were always the worst examples.
'I am indeed'
'Well he's not my Dad. I mean he is but he isn't mine' Evie said walking away to go and chat to someone else until John had gone away.
'What do you want?'
'Poppy and I are heading down to the sea. We wanted to see if you would like to join us?' John tried.
'No we don't' Poppy complained making John roles his eyes at his cover up.
Snitchy 5 year old. He knew for a fact that Poppy was one of those kids that didn't care what other people though and would happily get everyone into trouble no matter what the consequences. Even if that meant having no friends.
'Well we don't want to come so bye' Avia said quite rude and shortly.
John wanted to take her by the ear and March her her back up the beach right now but he decided that he wouldn't do that and that he would leave her to it.
'Well then Mummy and I want you to come back to the tent at 2 o clock for lunch' John hummed.
They was quite lenient because he knew that Henry and Poppy were on schedules and there that there is no way they would wait until 2 for lunch

'You did what?'
'I just went to check they were okay. We are in another country Clara' John said as I wrapped my little Poppy into a towel and started to dry her off a bit.
'God John. They are old enough and we can bloody see them from here. You did not need to get involved' I said angrily pulling the cooler bag out and handing Poppy and Henry a packet of crisps each to keep them going until lunch time.
I could tell Henrys blood sugar had dropped because he was getting short tempered and angry as he always does when he is hungry.
'She called Dad? It was weird'
'Another sign they are growing up I suppose' I mumbled.
'Yeah but why now? I mean we always knew that Evie calls me Daddy and Richard Dad but what happens when she starts calling me Dad as well? Then what? We'll get confused' he scoffed with a pout.
'Someone is getting a little flat about the fact that their kids are growing up?' I said crawling over to him and poking him in the chest.
He can deny it all he likes - it's the truth and he has to fa e that.
Avia was going off to secondary school so the chances are that she was going to start growing more and more distant anyway.
'Here. If it makes you feel any better I'll let you feed Harry? He's still a baby so he won't be calling you Dad anytime soon I promise'
'When he does I will throw myself off a building' he scoffed.
'I've been there before and it did not end well. I fell off the building too... so let's not joke about that' I huffed handing him the baby and one of the bottles I had in the bag.
That was when the field started to join us. It's like they smelt food from the other side of the beach.
'At least we know they'll always come home to be fed' I smirked
