Chapter 166- "Swimming Pool Party and a Surprise..."
Clara's PoV
'Why am I upstairs looking at you two on the hottest day of the year when I could be in the paddling pool with my kids?' John asked confused.
'You came up here to feed your kid. That's why' Richard said smugly.
'Yes. And now he's fed we want to go back down' John hummed.
'Shush John' I growled.
'So while everyone is all in the garden we wanted you two to be the first people to know' Lilly mumbled.
'Know what? This had better be good' John said rolling his eyes.
'Lilly and I have been trying again as you know because we both agreed that now may be the best time for another child before we get too old - so we wanted you to be the first to know that it did work' Richard squeaked.
'Oi. Enough of the old' Lilly growled.
'What? Your pregnant? Oh my god how far? Are you sure?'
'Were just under 16 weeks gone so I would hope we're pretty sure' she said pulling the ultrasound out of her bag. 'We wanted to be sure before we did anything or told anyone. We wanted to be 100%' she explained.
I could tell though that the only reason they were telling us was because it was going to get a bit obvious soon.
16 weeks is about the time you start to gain weight obviously.
'Oh my god. Another Baby Madden. Their having a baby John' I grinned.
'I know. I just heard the same information that you just did' he smirked.
'Congratulations lil' I said throwing my arms around her neck as John thankfully jumped quickly into my position.
I had forgotten I had left Harry on the bed wriggling. We didn't want him falling off. He's a right wriggler even at only two weeks old.
If we put him in one place on the bed he moves himself just by wriggling and kicking to himself.
'And you call yourself a mother' John smirked.

'Daddy. Come and play in the paddling pool' Poppy said as she ran up to John and grabbed his hand enthusiastically.
'Ugh. Really?'
'Yes. Play the splashing game' she grinned as he got up and ran after her as the tickle monster.
'Don't worry we're not going to steel your thunder or anything. We're not exactly going to announce it in front of your family' Lilly hummed looking at me.
'I wasn't thinking that. I was thinking more how happy I am for you. You guys deserve to be happy'
'We were happy. We are happy' she pointed out. 'We have Ollie and Evie is with us all the time that she's practically family. We're one big giant family. It's just with everything - all the treatments and me not being able to conceive normally it just is lovely to know that in the end we can get what we want... as long as Richard behaves' she smirked.
'Hmm' I laughed as John appeared in front of me again dripping wet with water.
The slashing game involves John chasing Poppy and the boys around (even Evie enjoys it) with the garden hose and splashing them until they fall in the pool or until John falls in the pool.
It was quite a fun game I had to admit - but I wasn't in the mood to join in right now.
'Wow? You got a got a bit wet then?' I smirked.
'Shut up otherwise I'll do a buttons on you and soak you with my wild hair' he hummed.
'You wouldn't dare. And anyway you wouldn't want to make me or your son sick' I pointed out with Harry in my arms.
'Do you know I think we need a holiday' John said completely out of the blue.
'Where the hell did that come from? Holiday?' I scoffed at the idea.
I mean I don't mind the idea of a holiday. I would quite like to catch the rays but to take the kids would just be a total nightmare.
'Really? But it's so much to do' I whined.
'I'll do it. I'll pack us all up and we'll just have a family get away on the beach. I was thinking maybe the Maldives again like we did for our honeymoon. We could rent a little villa with enough rooms and a swimming pool and just have 9 or 10 days away from it all?' He suggested.
'I think you should do it. You two have had a really stressful year. Maybe it would be good to just relax and have a break' Lilly smiled.
'And what about you? You helped so much with my pregnancy with Harry. I would feel like I was abandoning you if I went away' I grumbled.
'Hey. We've got months to worry about all that. Anyway me and Richard are going to down to Cornwall at the end of August to see my Mum and step Dad. So we won't be around anyway' she said which was just trying to make me feel better.
If I was honest o couldn't think of anything f worse than flying with an infant and packing all the stuff for an infant plus 4 other kids but I know I'll enjoy it when I get there and if John was offering to do all the crappy rubbish bits like packing then I couldn't really say no.
'Maybe. I'll think about it. Find me a good villa and I'll definitely say yes' I smirked as he bent down to peck me on the lip.
'By the way our baby already has a name' Lilly smirked as I say up and looked at her.
'How?' You said your only 16 weeks?'
'Yeah I know. The baby however is very clearly in sight and so is other things' she smirked as I gave her a wicked grin.
'So you and Richard decided on a name?'
'Yep'
'Can I know?'
'Maybe we could make it a fun game. I could tell John and he could play a little game for you to find out?' Lilly smirked.
'Or the other way round'
'Or a little competition between the pair of you. The first one to get it right with clues gets something. Let me think on that one' she grinned knowing this was going to be fun.
