[ Y/n ]

Four years ago, Finn suffered a head injury during a car crash. He has severe memory loss and forgets stuff frequently.

Stuff like who I am or who his kids are. We've all gotten used to this and now we know what to do when Finn panics at the sight of people in his house.

I walked into the kitchen, the twins holding my hands. Finn was sitting at the table, staring into space. "Finn, love, can you grab the cereal?"

Finn looked up and furrowed his eyebrows. "D-do I know you?" He asked, genuine confusion in his voice.

"Yes daddy! It's us!" Victor said with a huge grin. He thinks it's funny how Finn is so forgetful. He thinks it's normal.

Oliver signed that we were his family and Finn nodded. "I don't remember learning sign language... Wait- is he deaf?"

'Mute' Oliver signed. "Ah... Selectivity?" Oliver shook his head and opened his mouth as if he were trying to make a noise.

Finn smiled and nodded. "Okay, I understand." Oliver closed his mouth and gave a nod back. "Go give daddy a hug while I make your cereal."

The two ran to Finn while I made their cereal. "You're big! How old are you? Four! Wow..." I smiled and poured two bowls of cereal.

I added the milk before placing two spoons into the bowls and walking back into the kitchen. Oliver played with Finn's hair while Victor bit his nose.

"Okay boys, breakfast." They both hopped out of Finn's lap and I helped them into their chairs. I sat down and poked at the plate of eggs I'd left sitting out.

"So Finn, do you have work today?" I asked Finn. He shook his head and took a bite of Oliver's cereal.

"Can we visit Uncle Nick?" Victor begged. 'Uncle Nick! Yes! Yes! Yes!' Oliver signed.

I sighed and looked over at Finn. He glanced at me and shrugged. "Sure, if daddy gets his memory back."

They both looked at Finn with a burning passion in their eyes. "Hit him." Victor whispered. "NO! NO! NO! Don't hit Finn! He'll remember when he remembers." I scolded.

The two pouted an went back to their cereal.

I can already tell these two are scheming and this is going to be a long. ass. day.
